Okay. Like always our street is decorated by Young fellows of the street. Yeah I am the one too.
What's the situation in your street? How much have you prepared for the decoration. We have bought stuff. We still need some fund for 'Choona' and some other stuff. As always i will be providing the sound system to my street for 14th Aug celebration.
What's your preparation for this year?
How is it going on?

I want everyone to show and upload their street pictures on 14th August.

Scene of celebration is quite down from last 4 years , despite this year lots of road side flags and stuff being sold .
there was a time I was very active to , but I don't even put a flag on my roof any more , and my lazy neighbours do put a flag but then they never take it off and it gets destroyed by weather throughout the year .

its not like I don't have patriotism any more I have become lazy and lives alone when I had my nieces with me I used to celebrate , may be will celebrate in future with my own kids .
while I used to play loud songs in past but now I m totally against sound system being played in any street cause many older people get disturbed we violate others freedom on freedom day

I am seeing more 14th August Celebration activity this year compared to last 3/4 years. its because of the better law and order situation in Karachi, or maybe because its post eid otherwise for the last 4/5 years we were having eid or Ramazan around 14th august and everyone was celebrating that.

Dont see much activity.

The usual daily mover's/shaker's & toers's/froer's doing what they do all year around.

I think every year, Pakistan's independence day is over done every freakin time.

Instead of celebrating anything, half of the time, one needs to be careful even when going to the local market. People driving like the usual morons, and an extreme way of 'dikhawa' going on everywhere.

The question is that, what's there to prove? Are you that dam happy, that you have a carry a national flag, paint your face and also wear clothes with the same green/white colors?

I just can't see any relevance with people doing all these crazy/stupid things in public, except for getting others killed.
