PC Guild wars 2 question

i am looking forward to buying guild wars 2 standard edition which comes with no special weapon so i just had the question can i play this MMO without spending money on in game purchases
i do not have a credit card so i cant spend on in game purchase
can i fully enjoy the game without in game purchases ?
or are in game purchases necassary ?

nope..90% of the ingame purchases are just vanity items which arent of any use..so yes once you buy the game you can easily play it forever without spending a single dime in it..if after reaching lvl80 you feel a sudden urge to buy something from the ingame store(like transmutation stones or armor skins or increase your inventory size) you can trade in the gold you have for Gems(the store currency)

yes i have..got a level 80 thief on Far Shiverpeaks(thats the server you should join..its on EU side..many pakistanis here)
