[GUIDE] Configure Proxy Software on Android for Connect Communications

Previously i made a Guide for How to Configure Router on Connect Communications

Now i am writing this Guide about How to Configure Proxy Software on Android Smartphones for Connect Communications

** I have tested almost all popular Proxy Apps like HotSpot Shield, Spotflux on my Android Phone but no App was working when i was connected to Connect Communications. After doing experiments i found a way hence i am sharing:



Things used for this Guide:

1. Samsung Galaxy Note II - Running JellyBean 4.1 - Non Rooted
2. Samsung Galaxy Note II - Running JellyBean 4.1 - Rooted
3. Firefox Beta
4. Firefox Beta Add-on for Proxy Settings
5. Orbot
6. Note II is connected to Connect Communications over WiFi.


You can follow Provided Snaps All Instructions are Labelled on Snaps with Red Text:

Note: These are for Non Root Users.

RESULT:

IF you have rooted your phone
(Follow the Steps till Step 5 & Follow Snaps Below)

Step 1 (After STEP 5):

Note: If you are rooted you shall get this screen instead:

You can see it has been connected and everything has been configured for you Automatically:

RESULT: Congratulations Now you can use all Apps over Proxy without configuring manually.

Thanks man any idea why these things are not picking required settings automatically over Connect Communications?
Everything is Automatic on my Nitro USB and works perfect.

Haha I know man, but its a part of Networking so in my case it won't be a problem.

I am using TOR Proxy from many years on my PC for accessing blocked websites... Its well maintained project with thousands of inbuilt proxies. I found it better & easier than Hotspot Shield.

i m unable to use any VPN on connect, Hotpost/Freegate nothing is working except Sumrando, i cannot browse anything on Freegate/Hotspot, tried "TorProject" but its very slow IMO, so if anyone know any solution to run Freegate/Hotspot on Connect plz let me know

Youtube streaming working without any break or lag on Sumrando and orbot(root).. You can also try "fearless mobility" from Google play, its slow but works on connect..

Try Puffin Browser for Andriod on any connection and it will run any website, even Youtube without any lag.

Youtube opens and videos load great, but it takes like ten taps on a video to make it open and then when it does open, it lags a lot. It buffers quickly but the video runs very choppy.

Agreed. It has some flaws, but delivers what the user requires.
