I don't think it's the GPU's problem. Something up with the game I think.

It might be your HDD. Run HDTune Pro for bad sectors.
his GPU is giving problems and you want him to scan him for bad sectors :s what are you smoking man :umad:

@on topic, I had a 9800gtx which died similarly first it started giving artifacts and after some days it stopped giving display.

^^ I was running MW2 on a Core 2 Duo PC with a GTX 260. I kept getting quite a few BSOD's. I had a Thermaltake 600W PSU. I tried the GPU on my cousins rig (similar to mine). Ran fine with no BSOD's.
Ended up being the HDD. It's not always the GPU that gives the problems.

Bsods can be caused by various factors bro, i would suggest u use ur onboard or alternative graphics for a while and check out for bsods.
After this u uninstall ur display drivers, remove registry using ccleaner, take ur card out, put it inside again and reinstall latest drivers :)
My radeon 6790 suddenly stopped giving display and i thought it was dead. I was sure until i tried the above mentioned steps and its perfectly fine now. Drivers especially display drivers tend to be corrupted sometimes. Hope u get a solution :)
