So windows start screwing up with the GPU On...
Hmm. So i assume its happening on both of the systems?

Is the heating unreasonably ALOT than usual?

And was it working before you installed the 341.44 driver?

A little detailed answer to this would allow me to help you out more better.

yes its heating unreasonably and yes it was working fine before shipping as i was shown a whatsapp video before shipping the card on the same driver version.

Then theres something physically happened with the card during shipping...

Because your total TDP is under 400W with the GPU. So power cant be an issue.

If it is heating unreasonably, Is the heatsink in place? or is it lose?

try reseating the heatsink..... but i dont think that'd be hardly a solution (but worth a try)

OR

try setting the card up in another slot if you have.

If none of these work, your card has died.

To my current conclusion i think the card has gone nuts and you'll need to buy another...

Are you sure the video was recent? This GPU is ancient. I used it myself. It was a beast for its time but its so old that anything could happen to it and it won't be a surprise.

Yup the seller is trusted as far as i know but this is a weird case i am getting the display so my friend is saying it has a chance of getting repaired. But getting it repaired is not a permanent solution.

How much did you buy it for?

Even if its dead, i'm sure its not a big loss.

Oh wow, Yolo...

You could have bought a 7770 by throwing in a few thousand more. o_O
7770 won't be that cheap. I sold a 550 ti for 7k recently but still 4500 sounds quite a bit. Something around 3 to 3.5k would have been more reasonable. This card is same as gts 250.

@OP you are saying that its heating but you haven't mentioned its temps. How do you know that its over heating?
