Welcome to this CodinGame AI Coding Contest!

What is it?

This event is a multiplayer AI programming contest. The aim is to develop an autonomous bot able to play a game that we provide and win against the bots of other participants. The more matches you win against other players during the game, the highest you climb in the rankings!

When, where?

• Duration: 8 days
• Start time: Saturday, February 25th at 12pm EST.
• End time: Sunday, March 5th at 2pm EST.

This contest is being held online, and you don't need to install anything to play. It’s open to all programming lovers around the globe: you can check the appropriate start time in your city here.

How to participate?

1. Register… It’s free! Even if you already have an account on CodinGame, you need to register to the contest to participate: while signing up to the event, you can either apply to the jobs/internships offered by our sponsors or just participate for fun. Don’t forget to state whether you are a student or a professional.
2. Join the contest: you'll discover the game's rules on the first day of the event. The competition starts at the same time for all players in the world, whatever the time zone.
3. Choose your programming language: as for solo puzzles solving, you can choose among the 25 languages available on the platform to implement your solution during the contest. Choosing a language is all about strategy: you can either go for the language you feel the most at ease with, or try a more “exotic” one for glory!

1. Code your bot: it only takes 10 minutes to come up with a basic solution and start having fun! All along the competition, you will be able to improve and fine-tune your bot as much as you like, whenever you like (the contest is open 24/7).

1. Enter the first League: as soon as your bot is able to do something basic, you can send it to fight against other players’ bots in the Wood League. There are 5 Leagues overall: Wood, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Legend. Competing in the contest is all about managing to progress to the next League. All players start in Wood League and can be automatically promoted to the upper leagues as their bots get stronger.

1. Adapt your bot to change Leagues: each league has an AI Boss you need to beat to reach the next League. The Boss is sometimes a copy of the bot of one of the Top players of the League. To spice up the game, the rules may change with each League, and you will need to adapt your program. However, you will be able to discover the rules for all the leagues as soon as you enter Wood League, in order to prepare your strategy.

1. Hit the Leaderboard: check out the evolution of your rankings in the dynamic leaderboard, along your journey towards Legend League. Once the contest is over, you cannot modify your solution anymore. Some last matches are played to calculate the definitive rankings, and you obtain your final position.

Unfortunately, I am traveling during this time and won't be able to keep my laptop with me.
I will participate in Fighting Game AI competition that's in July.
We can make a team at PG and work on agents together

Infact, if you're participating in this Ghost Cell AI it will give you a lot of benefit for other AI competition.
