No one is saying they shouldn't have reported it. After getting amir mir's beeper, they ran a full one-sided story, alleging the involvement of ISI and DG ISI without evidence, without looking at other angles (people get target killed on daily basis in KHI), getting their own people on call for comments (one asked for his resignation etc). These were the problems.

Freedom of speech is constitutionally protected with certain restrictions. Like I said before, geo is a byproduct of a larger problem and banning geo will not fix that problem. We need a strong, active content regulatory body.

1. if such incident happens to u ur family or urself can do it no objection, but not a complete media group ie print n digital media.
2. his family didnt even file fir, admin offr of geo did whereas he had personal threats n insecurity so y his family didnt do it, eg if a person gets hit will he or his family file an FIR or his office?
3. hwo ur so sure its only ISI n not balouch or TTP or any other person? do u have a proof that baouch cant do it or ttp cant do it if not then how can u exclude them with such a conviction

yes if u have any personal affiliation with geo, then ur stance is understandable but if u r a normal citizen then perhaps u dnt look at events with informed knowledge and presume most things

You didn't get what I said. HM can nominate whoever he wants to in his FIR (we can clearly see how well that is going). GEO is the problem, they can run a story/news but NOT a campaign as was evident in their coverage.

Also, do you know on what HM assumed that 'ISI' will get him? A couple of intelligence people went to him and asked him to limit his outdoor activity and inform relevant people if going somewhere because his name came up in a list (this is normal). He in return asked who/where is the threat coming from, naturally they didn't reply because its confd. Now HM replied, threat aur kisi say nai ap logon say hi ho sakti hai. :fp2: He had threats from Taliban, sectarian groups as well.

BTW the above was said by someone in geo in an 8pm/10pm show. Can't recall which one.

Oh and correction, not 6 bullets. Its 3 bullets + 3 shrapnel pieces. 3 bullets + 3 shrapnel pieces != 6 bullets.

Yes by all means journalists should report without bias and without drawing any conclusions ..... unfortunately most of the journalists are biased because they are following an agenda , and u know well how funds are funnelled into media channels....

B.a.k ..... every target killer is aware of his party. These days the game is being played on territorial land. U enter my area I will kill u. This sort of dare involvements are growing in at large and thats why every second day u see some one is being shot. Behind the scenes media is instructed to gain sympathy than chaos

I've stopped arguing against people who dont support our forces because in the end when they are near to loose thier argument they start to brag about religion and what army did in lal masjid was right or not. Fighting mujhaideen and soo on.
