Larisa has been one of our very first Widows here at Joystickwidow.com and we couldn't be happier. She is a big time gamer with 3 consoles sitting on her living room; she has some interesting views on many different topics; and finally, but certainly not least, she is an exhilarating delight to look at after those long gaming sessions. We recently asked Larisa if she would do a quick interview with us and she happily accepted our feeble attempts to flirt with her through "questions". While contemplating our exhausting interview list, she even had time to take a few extra photos just for us. Ranging from a few shots as Mileena from Mortal Kombat, to a Sailor Moon outfit, to a stunning new display of the Nintendo Wii that we've had to move into our personal favorites collection used nightly.
So, tell us a little about yourself? You know, where are you from, what do you do, things like that.
I am originally from Russia,my family came here when I was about two years old, now I live in NYC. For fun I go out to fine restaurants, read good books, watch movies, play video games and I also eBay A LOT.

When did you get into gaming?
I got into gaming when my father brought home Atari lol. Do you remember that? (oh yes we do) How old were you?(5) I don’t remember how old I was but I was young enough for my sister to steal the joystick from me, I would just cry and she would laugh and play.

What are you currently playing now?
Right now I’m playing Marvel Alliance for like the 9th time, cant stop.

You have this fascination with the Ratchet and Clank series...Why? What do you like about it?
Well, I love the graphics, the story lines, upgrades, weapons and rich colors of every new planet I visit.

What don't you like about it?
There’s nothing at all. However, I was really disappointed with Deadlocked. I played a few times ,not the same ,a waste of money.

If you could send message to Insomniac games (they make the Ratchet and Clank series), what would that be?
Make more and for ALL game consoles. I don’t want to run out and buy a PSP at all and If must to play your games then I just will go elsewhere. It’s bad for business. Not everyone wants or can afford say a PS3, PSP,XBOX blah blah blah.. I just sold my Nintendo Wii. XBOX is on its way to eBay as well and PS3 doesn’t have enough games.

What are you thoughts about people putting female gamers up on a pedestal and making things special because they are female?
A pedestal? Umm…this is the first I’m hearing this. But ok,um,sounds a little silly but hey, im a silly girl.

Do you think female gamers are at a 'disadvantage' (sorry, not our thoughts here...)
Disadvantage? LMFAO! are you serious? From what? Please elaborate because OMG I can’t stop laughing. I will never let you get over asking me this question.

Xbox 360/PlayStation 3/Nintendo Wii: Which one and why?
XBOX 360 for the graphics. Wii for the exercise.PS3 if you want to waste hard earned $$$$ as I said before, not enough games yet.

You stated you enjoyed the Wii for a bit, but over time kind of got tired of it, why?
I got tired of it because I'm so used to sitting on the sofa playing, I'm lazy. I played for awhile, next day felt like I worked out really hard..not bad,but not for me.

What do you see yourself doing in the future?
Ehh…married, kids etc.. I already have four businesses of my own, so I'm kinda set.

We would like to thank Larisa for taking the time out of her busy schedule for completing these interview questions as well as taking these photos for us.
