Galaxy Note 4 Edge - Re-locked after Lollipop

Salam
My friend gave me a Note 4 Edge Sprint varient to remove network lock which i successfuly removed with the help of SSU unlocker. it was working fine until he updated the phone to lollipop and now whenever a sim is inserted it gave error of invalid sim and then tries to activate the phone which obviously it fails.

Now i am thinking to downgrade it back to Kitkat and then remove the lock again but i want to remain on safe side thats why i am asking here that it is as simple as using Odin and flashing it with Kitkat or should i have to do some more steps before the flashing? i have searched XDA but have not found any help regarding this.

or is there any way to remain on Lollipop and make phone unlock?

the cellphone is from Sprint i dont know how i missed writing it in the title so if any mod is reading plz add this to the title.

There should be a way to unlock on Lollipop but downgrading back to KK will help.
It may be a bit of an issue, but it's not that hard. Do a bit of research on XDA before downgrading though, I was trying to do a firmware downgrade last night and I stayed awake the whole night because I ruined my phone.
