I've been troubleshooting problems with my PTCL Internet for more than a month. The current problem I face is frequent disconnections. I would like to share what I've done so far in order to fix it but no luck so far:
Do you think it can be a problem with PTCL Modem? Model is AN1020-16T. I also use a separate TP-LINK Wi-Fi router but I believe that shouldn't cause disconnections because Modem is the backbone.
Can the problem be related with the telephone wire or joints?
Please share your insights. Any input is HIGHLY appreciated and very helpful!
- Managed to install the pole as near as possible to my house (Attenuation is 19.0 dB which is excellent)
- Installed Splitter that increased the SNR Margin drastically and now it's 23+ dB
- Lodged a complaint for frequent disconnections but no luck
