PC First gameservers provider in Pakistan, thoughts?

Hmmm do keep in mind the prices as well. CS:GO would be nice but rates need to be affordable as well. Right now, leonet does offer hosting but is simply too expensive... at least for myself. And yeah BF3 has reasonable number of players in Pakistan and that would surely grow after we get a local server. I quit it long time ago because of the pings and random servers all the time. But might play again.

BF3 servers are currently less than 1$/slot, even if you charge 2$ or 2.5$ per slot it will be good. But like Rip Uzair said, if the prices are like 5$ or more per slot then it will be too expensive.

Sorry for a late response. I'd just like to provide an update - I've been busy with setting up the stuff and we should be able to launch around 1st Jan 2013.

The games will unfortunately not include BF3, Black Ops, etc., in the start. These will come in 2 to 3 months after launch. I really hoped to tell you all differently about this, but there is no possibility of it to bring these on the launch.

Regarding the pricing - it will not be very high (not over $5 per slot). I cannot give you an exact number but these will be between $1 to $3 per slot. We'll keep it reasonable so don't worry about it.

Well if it is going to be 5$ it will considered higher considering Intl. Less than 1$ slots
And ppl are more interested a out bf3 then any other

Awesome, the price is good too. I just hope you guys add BF3 in a month or two. BF3 players in Pakistan are over 200 easily.

So you guys launched your services or not? Since you were saying the expected launch date is around 1 January.

Salam. I think hosting game server on your own pc is possible. i myself hosted a gta san andreas and counter strike server. if you have a 4mb connection or more with ptcl. you can host gta samp server with 200 slots without lag. tryed myself. all you need is 200/rs per month static ip. i got one. but you will have to keep your computer running. maybe we can use this trick to host mini servers. If anyone need help regurding to static ip and port fowarding or website designing ask me

PTCL DSL connections only have enough upload for 10 person server AT most (assuming each player on the server gets 6 kbytes a second. It is not nearly decent enough even for a mini server let alone a full blown dedicated gaming server.

hmm. wired i just hosted a counter strike server with 30 slot. 30/30 player were playing. and server ping didnot even reach greater than 20. i was playing without any lag. my upload speed is 100kb/s anyway. if you have static ip. you dont have any problem hosting any game with slots upto 200.

Didn't find it anywhere. i dont play bf3 actually. cs,gta,tf e.t.c only. anyway you have to install bf3 and then create server from ther (in game.) and share your ip. but it should be static ip.

It is simple. If you want me to make tutorial i will. just need to add ports in your router. like for counter strike add 27015 and then if you dont want to pay for static ip. get a domain from no-ip.org like I did. and then use it to host game.

There is no local hosting allowed for BF3. One can host CS, GTA servers but many games don't allow server hosting at client side. That's why there are GSPs (Game Server Providers) to allow anyone to host a server on their Systems. And this is what this guy (OP) is trying to do in Pakistan...
