You also clarified that Ori Definitive Edition matters, not Switch port of WotW. You have yet to prove how C2077's next update is a "new edition"

Metacritic doesn't consider it one. And their standards are what's being discussed

I also felt the praise for FF16 wasn't warranted and the pictures shared in this thread highlight that perfectly. Its the same rendering flaws we've seen in open world games from last gen when they shift from cut scene to real time gameplay and the highs of the game are probably a high point for FF but not the genre in itself by any means.

Btw, not a single crash or overheating issue observed on my launch model PS5 ! Breezed through it like a champ!

I even checked a few times after some major ' Eikonic ' fights, it felt same as playing any other game.

I finished Final Fantasy 8 Remaster version today. Now, this game is a true RPG that most FF fans expect of Final Fantasy games.

Final Fantasy 16 is not an RPG. It is an action game similar to Dante's series. To me, Final Fantasy game ended after FF13. The previous two games don't have that team based RPG elements that made FF games endearing so many over generations. Square Enix is RIP for me.
