Disc not authorized

I got a modded 360 and iv been doing online gaming on it so far everything is working good *not banned yet lol*. But there since i went on live iv done few software updates which were mandatory but now everytime i try to install a game and play it give me a error "disc not authorized" but when i uninstall the game and run it works fine but whenever i try to install and play its give the same disc not authorized error! Is there any fix for this?

Friend if you are getting error "Failed authorization of disk" error and you are on lt 3.0 then it means that you are not using LT-MAX burn games.The games available in the market are truncated.If you want to install the game and then play then you have to buy LT-Max games which are not available in the market easily but here some people on Pakgamers are selling LT-MAX games.

The disc is actually burned 97 percent, this is the issue with game being sold in the market. If you require the full game, a ihas or something similar is needed to burn the full game. Why is this burner recommended to use as it has a firmware upgrade option to support burning the XDG3 games fully.

yaar my xbox360 is jtagged but when i installed resident evil 6 game it gave me a disc unauthorized error ... but when i play directly no issues game runs smoothly ... my re 6 copy is truncated burn but xbox360 is jtagged so whts the problem ?

Friend i have no experience with Jtag and i have xbox 360 flashed with LT 3.0 but i think xbox can not read truncated games but only some drives can read truncated burn games.So, it does not matter that xbox is jtagged or not because the game disks you are using are not burned 100% so, how can you play games which are not burned properly when data is not burned completely because this data is compulsory for instaling games on hard disk and this data does not relate to games but this may be some anti piracy measures i believe and which can be bu passed by most drives.

I am new to PakGamers. Coming across it has been such a pleasant surprise.

I recently got my xbox 360 upgraded to lt 3.0. However i keep getting the error message 'Failed to authorize disk' after about 10-20 mins of play. This goes for all the games I have tried (Fifa, Gears of wars 3 (non-truncated copy), COD black ops 2 etc.). Does you anybody know why am I encountering this problem?

I have tried various tricks mentioned earlier in the forum (mp3 trick, removing the HD drive etc), but none seem to work.

Alternatively does anybody know a reliable shop in Lahore where I can have it checked. By reliable I mean knowledgable and somebody who won't try to con me! ;-).

In fact for some of the games I didn't even install it on the hard drive but I keep getting the same error message and than the console restarts. According to a person at a shop the lens need replacing but I doubt thats the case.

Try using some properly burned and verified games. Try borrowing an OK disc from a friend and see if the problem still persists.

The game you have got isn't properly burned, so just get it from here on PG and everything should be good.Install your current, truncated game on the harddrive and play it via the DVD (LT-MAX) . Faizy is only good till games

your games r truncated copies .i am aslo having same error after installation ..........if i play them directly via dvd then the error comes when the disc got scratched .........

hey buddy i m having exactly the same problem since i got it upgraded to LT 3.0 from lhr...i m so much tired of it...i tried so many disks..n shopkeeper also tried to convince me abt lens problem..but dont agree with him coz i never had a problem before upgrading even now some old games working fine..so how u got this problem solved??let me know Asap...3ks

a failed to authorize disc message occurs only when a disc is a truncated burn and/or the disc is not readable (the appropriate video partition sector) due to a faulty lens or a bad burn .... if the lens is okay and discs are burned with proper topology and on LTMAX then it will never give failed to authorize disc message
