Facing Poor Speeds on Optix 20Mbps

Guys is anyone who is using Optix is facing any slow speeds ? The thing is I'm on 20Mbps connection & i've been facing really bad speeds on various sites especially while streaming on YouTube and Facebook video streaming. And now these speeds are also getting low day by day on torrents as well. I used to get 2.8MBs on torrent and now I hardly get 2MBs stable. If anyone is facing similar issue or knows a solution to this problem please feel free to share. Although i've tried to approach optix via FB Page and currently waiting for their response. Your feedback would also mean a lot to me.


My Package: 20Mbps with 2 Digital TV's attached.


P.S: Does digital tv box affects your upload & download speeds on Optix or not ?

Ask them to make your connection profile at 30mbps and leave speed cap on 20mbps.

Then your connection tunnel will be slightly big enough to pass though 2.8mbps data/sec.

Not confirmed for your provider but give a try.

How much will they charge ? And do I need to show you my stats just to verify that is everything okay ? And are you using Optix or some other ISP ?

I am currenlty using PTCL FTTC connection .perviously i was having similar issue. But i have requested them to make my profile at 30.
i was on 16mbps and i was getting around 700 or 900 .after changes in profile now i am getting extra virgin out of my connection.

Well my stats are totally different than yours as I'm on Fiber Optic. So our graphs will vary a lot.

i think that is not the case in fiber connections, u get same full speed while tv is up, still u can check with them.

how is your overall exp with Optix up time and support in case, channels list and quality.

One cause of poor speeds can been peak time which is at night, since in the day it works like it actually should.

Well Digital Box didn't made a lot of difference except clearing the distortion. The thing is our own so called TV Channel are on SD rather than on HD except for few channels that is. 150 to 200 channels but they are typical paki channels, even star movies, hbo, ten sports aren't HD which is a huge waste tbh.

Their Customer Support is pathetic to be very honest they are worst than PTCL. It took them more than 2 weeks to get my digital box installed and they took the money on the same day I called them. Priority means nothing to them expect if you bash at them in a different tone which gets things done.

Overall my experience has been great no disconnections what so ever, but this slow speed issue is getting worse day by day. I even get bad pings sometimes while playing cod 4 on PTCL servers.


In short their customer supports sucks. Reason they have very small team and they can't satisfy every customer. But if a complaint or new connection order comes they should prioritize such things immediately. Rather than lying to customers in which they are pretty good at.
