I have been to france and spain, paris has its own league and spain is pretty good for a party with the mates. Here are the places where I went personally and liked them:

Paris:

- Disneyland Paris (you have to check it out, else you will regret your paris tour)
- Louvre Museum
- Moulin Rouge Show (if you are into it)
- Monet's House in Giverny (check out the lily gardens)
- Eiffel tower (visit the day time and go to the top for a lovely view of the paris city), at night don't forget to wait till 12:00am to see the whole tower blinking
- Mont St-Michel (you will love this island)
- Versailles Palace and Gardens
- Seine River Cruise
- Notre dame cathedral (it's on walking distance from eiffel tower)

Spain:

- Ibiza (but it's not the season to go, in summer it's known as the party capital of europe, nearly all top DJs perform there..and those girls..*sigh*)
- La Concha & its beach
- Palacio Real
- Cuenca city
- Mosque of Cordoba (a must visit)
- San Sebastian Beaches
- Madrid City (for night clubs :p)
- Barcelona (a must visit)

right now I can't think of more stuff :S

Ibiza is also on the list but considering im going alone, ill probably only be sightseeing.. But maybe if there are some good DJ's playing, i will definitely go to check them out. Went to disneyland in 2010 and if I remember correctly the 1 days ticket cost was 45 Euro, but I don't know about the current price..it might have increased! secondly you need a whole day to cover the disneyland paris, it's a freakin whole city.

And god damm, you will going to love armin and the crowd..however there's no fun going in such places without the boys ;) anyway best of luck and oh if you are lucky then you might catch some DJs at ibiza, however the main season is of June and July.

Enjoy!

euro disney is pathetic and boring. not many rides for adults.
how many rides do you want? quality matters! the ones which available there are quite awesome

- Roller Coaster: Indiana Jones
- Space Mountain
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (highly recommend..unique experience)

above are the ones which makes you go crazy..rest are cool too like special effects in universal studio etc what else you want? 100 rides? besides that it's disneyland not a adultland.

Mostly people use "EasyJet" (Cheap flights – Book cheap flights to Europe - easyJet.com) the most cheapest way to travel across europe but you can't take a luggage! just a hand-carry is allowed and flight needs to be get booked week or weeks before! second option is of Ferry (you can took your whole car in the ferry and it cost about £50, I did this when I was going to France from the UK), third option is of Train but that will not going to be cheap.

To be honest traveling with a group cost cheaper as compared to traveling by yourself!

alamode I suggest posting your Euro travel questions on the Tripadvisor(dot com) forum. From what I hear, each country is different in Europe - some have cheap trains and some are quite expensive, so you have to switch your preferred ride based country. One size fit all method will be more expensive. May I ask you share the best answers here? Travel resources and info for Pakistanis and for travel within Pakistan is very scarce. Europe is the complete opposite in available info. Don't waste time or comfort for a little money. It would be good if you lay out your budget first, so you know exactly what you are comfortable with.

If you are going to stay in hostels, book ahead. September is still good weather, so tourists will be hopping. There is a site called hostelworld, don't know how useful it is, but looks like a useful resource.

If you know where you will be on Friday(s), and assuming you are a Muslim and a man, you will need to locate a mosque. Actually, a lot of this can be done with a smartphone I am sure, but do you know what the data rates/plans will be. If you are interested in checking buildings out, why not look up mosques as well as churches and synagogues? You might find some good advice from local Muslims - although don't linger too long. Living in a place can jade people, and it is likely Muslims in Europe will be from lower socioeconomic class than you, so mingling with the wrong set can be a downer or at least a time waste. So be careful.

I heard Europe is even cleaner than Pakistan so be sure to take pictures. We need proof. You are very lucky to be traveling alone. Be sure to have some torrid romances. :mushy:

alamode:

First off I hope all this is paid for by your company or expense account coz accommodation in Amsterdam ain't exactly cheap. I went to Amsterdam- Brussels - Paris with a family of 6 people and the average cost of living was 100 euros... except in Amsterdam where I think we paid 150 each for two rooms.

Places to visit: We took those canal ferries and it takes you thru most of the landmarks. Thing to remember about Europe is you can mostly just walk your way around a city and still enjoy yourself.
Bonus points for you if you visit those roadside cafes and manage to ask for 'the specials'!

Paris: Been to paris twice both times in summer and I do NOT have pleasant memories of the place. Its busy and I swear someplaces the roads look like bandar road k streets!! Yes if you;ve got the money to stay in one of those swanky hotels its all that lovey dovey movie scene stuff, otherwise no. And be careful of subways at night theyre not at all safe. Speaking of safety, when you go to Eiffel tower, Notre Dam is nearby alongwith the Louvre. Notredam is in the 'old city' of paris which, again, I would advise against going in after dark. Forget about going up the famed Arc'd Triumph its a frikking waste of time and money its just a bunch of very small staircases and unless you are with a very good guide you will get nothing outta it. Just snap some photos outside and be done with it.

regarding Disney land, what happened with us was we took a metro that eventually arrived at disney, what we found at the counter was you apparently need a special ticket to come to disney and we ended up paying extra (x6) for that amount. Plus the bastid slapped some fine as well I think. Ab i dont know whether it was genuine or coz my mum and sister were wearing headscarves (this is about 5 years back), but this ruined the whole thing. and inferno's right you do need a whole frikking day to just see the place.

Now let me ruin Eiffel Tower for you (evil):

Last time I was there, the area beneath the tower, which I had the pleasure of visiting back in 99, was littered with crap. Yes believe it. You have the choice of paying money and climbing all the way up to the 2nd floor (theres 2 floors 3rd is accessible thru elevator). You save some money but trust me you wont be able to walk anywhere for atleast a week after that!

The whole trip wasnt a whole disaster tho; We were crossing this street there and this big fat cop on one of those large police motorcycles pulls up. From outta nowhere I hear a thick punjabi accented comment "Ae lo! ye idhar vi agya! Khuda ne keri kedi makhlooq banai hai duniya m!" dont remember the exact words but damn I was shocked to hear this outta the blue and couldnt stop laughing!!
