Enquiry regarding arcade gaming machines

I'm sure nearly everyone on Pakgamers remembers those arcade gaming machines that you'd insert a coin in to play.

Question is, is there any way I can get a brand new machine or a used one in excellent shape and form in Rawalpindi? If so, where can I find one and how much do these cost?

I saw long ago it was manufactured in Karimabad area but now all vendors started manufacturing pool tables and other sports stuff.

There is one game shop where these arcade games are in saddar under Ciros Cinema ...

Are you referring to Infinite Arcade in Singapore Plaza? Saw a thread based on that one here a couple of years back and absolutely nothing this year. Even their Facebook page has no activity after 2013.

In Lahore they make it on special order in Ichra shopping centre and Shalmi. Not sure about Rawalpindi though.

A question to you is what type of games are you planning to play on it? At one point I also wanted an arcade machine but held back because there wasn't much variety available. I then turned to Sega Gensis, and have become a retro gamer ever since. I've a huge library of Genesis games which aren't even available in Pakistan any longer. I'm not a collector however.

A friend still very much fancies the idea of just being able to have that big machine and play with that arcade pad at home. I dont think he has a particular ollection of game sin mind but you know, the very common ones like tekken, kof, pac man etc. Problem with just buying Sega Genesis is that it won't have that same vibe to it with the lack of a machine to stand before and play using the arcade stick.

Question: The special orders those people in Lahore take include the machine, the display as well as the "console with installed games" inside, right? Any idea if there is anyone who can take the order and ship it to Rawalpindi?

Yes everything! I recently went to Ichra, and saw approx. 10-15 spanking new arcade machines (just like the picture you posted above) with displays and games installed in them.

Sorry no idea. If you've any friend or relative living in Lahore then you can request them to inquire. I would've but I live far away from both locations.
