DOTA 2 Ping issues? post your solutions and problems here

Anyone having ping issues on World Call? Pings have spiked up to 300 (140-160 usually for EUW) for the last week or so and Dota 2 seems to be the only game affected. WoW, BF4 and CS:GO have the same pings as they had before. Anyone got any solutions?

Maybe you are joining servers from EU or NA. I am using Dubai and Asia both are working fine. There was high ping issue few days back and it was for everyone, not only me.

All the servers are high for me (it isn't just me, my friend as well). EUW gave us the best ping at 140-160. Now the lowest we get is 260 to india and dubai, 300+ everywhere else.

Using World Call? The best I could ever get to SEA was 250. I have no idea what is causing this issue but its been happening for me and my friend (both living in Karachi) for nearly a week now, the game is pretty much unplayable.

I've been getting high ping on eu w as well with ptcl for a few weeks now, it went from 180 to 350+, now I'm stuck with sea which I find to be very unpleasant.

Use VPN for now. Its a valve issue

we have redone our Amsterdam POP and we are waiting on a link back to the game servers. Until this is completed we cannot share the prefixes for the game servers with PTCL. I hope to have this resolved soon.

They've told me 2weeks so lets see.

Check BF4 servers as well if possible.

Depends, usually EU servers = 180-190ms so add in 5-15ms to EUW from the VPN server so around ~200ms to EUW.

No idea about BF4 servers since I don't play the game.

Dota 2 is giving 11 fps on my friend's pc. I thought it wasn't that demanding..
His specs are

Core 2 duo e4300 1.8 ghz
Amd Hd 3470 ( I know its ancient )
2 gb ram

His settings are all lowered and still getting 11 fps... but before the reborn dlc (last year) he was getting ok fps.

that's what im thinking ;s tried almost every "manjan" found on the net, those steam launch options, disabling steam overlay, increasing the virtual memory etc :s

try updating the amd drivers. once my friend faced an issue like this but not this severe.

also try some other games out. like team fortress 2. to determine if its the game or the pc at fault

Well he can play LoL fine, He also played Outlast on his pc and The banner saga as far as i can remember.

what is a traceroute how the fuck do i do this ? XD why can only connect users do this? ;s
