Doctor who x_x

I came to know "Doctor who" through the series "community" when i looked at the pictures of doctor who (the old ones) i promised my self i would never watch it lol.. but yesterday x_x an online friend (big nerd) told me to watch the episode "Blink" and then decide if its any good :/ i didnt watch it completely, started from the end where the doctor gives instructions to the boy and girl to fight the weeping angels (or whatever) i have to say x_x it was intense and loved it.. my question is, is doctor who really that good (like this episode) and also if i wanted to start, where would i begin ? i really dont want to watch the old ones, was there a remake or something that i can start with ?

Just start watching it from the revival point of the show, that is from the 2005 series. There are 7 series aired from 2005 till now. BTW i haven't watched the old one's too but people say that they are also epic or even better than the revival series.

I see.. okay i will start from the revival point.. if i get too attached to it (and there are pretty good chances i will lol) i will even watch the old ones thanks.

It's a brilliant show if you can bear season 1 of the revived series. That's all you have to do, and the show has MANY amazing episodes. But Blink is still one the best.
I can go on and on and on about the show, but just give the show some time, it's amazing

Lol yeah i have started watching from the revived series i am starting to like it, and i agree, that blink episode is the reason i am giving this show a chance
