Docs on Road

I am getting my driver's license tomorrow. I'd like to know what other documents should I keep with myself to not give those ravenous cops a chance to help themselves to my money. I realise that if they want it, they will take it, yet still, keeping the required documents will help me. Here's the list; let me know what I'm missing.

• Driver's license
• Vehicle registration papers
• Vehicle tax papers (Only for car; my bike has been paid up to life.)
• Authority letters (since neither of the vehicles are on my name.)
• CNIC

Bro only keep photocopy of your vehicles' registration papers and tax papers and keep the original ones safe at home. Other than that, what you have mentioned would be fine.

Remember to keep the CNIC copy to whoever the ownership papers are to. Cops pulled me over and asked for that once

they can fine you for the most ridiculous of reasons. important thing is know to how to deal with them....

and yeah the things you mentioned are pretty much all you need and i think if the car is registered to your fathers name then you don't need a authority letter

1) Go to license office.

2) Locate the old man with the photocopy machine outside, under the tree.

3) Treat that man with respect and present your case.

4) That man will redirect you certain someone inside the license office.

5) Go meet that insider.

6) Sit in waiting area for 15-20 minutes.

7) Go out for the fully "orchestrated to help you" driving test.

8) Wait for 10 minutes and Get your photo taken.

9) Thank the insider, pay him. [40% more than the actual fee]

10) Go home with a brand new license.

TOTAL TIME: 40 Minutes.


you can either do that....

OR

1) Go to license office.

2) Fill form, pay the initial fee. [45-50 minutes wait in line]

3) Buy traffic book.

4) Get in line for medical test. 40 minutes wait in line. [This is where they fail 50% people so they pay again.]

5) Get in line for Traffic signals test. 40 minutes wait in line. [This is where they fail 50% people so they pay again.]

6) Get your picture taken. 40 Minutes wait in line.

7) Go for Driving test. 40 minutes wait in line + Plus you need to bring your own car.

8) Sit and wait for license to print [40 minutes wait in line]

9) Get license.

10) Go home.

TOTAL TIME= 4.1 Hours.

Thanks, but my uncle has contacts inside the office. He got his license in less than 40 minutes. Same goes for me. :lol:

I dont know about sindh, but here its all about the sweet talk......They wont even ask for any papers as long as you talk just the right thing.....lol
