Dish TV

Hello everyone,
I'd like to know something.

I just bought a 55" LED TV. Sadly the cable that is being provided doesnt have good quality channels even after using a personal amplifier device.
I was thinking of getting a Dish TV. I know there are various options as one that requires Internet connection for initial booting and then there are other that require monthly payments. I am ok with paying monthly fee if its worth it.

I don't require Indian TV channels, only Pakistani entertainment and News channels. If i get some Holywood channels, that would be a plus to but they are optional.

What are my options. Thanks in advance for valuable input.

I have dishtv which has about 55 to 60 hd channels according to the subscription modules they provide.

These days indian channels being boycotted, so their recharge channels payment has increased to 1000 extra for 3 month payments.

Videocon is totally indian. Dishtv will give you English channels/sports/music/pakistani news.

One issue is that they are aired from India. So you might get the indian list along. They have packages, you can decide.

I have pakistani channels in it as well.

What I can sugguest, try talking to the dish tv person I have. If he has your taste of requirement. You all good to go.

Still being sold. Videcon was shut, dishtv which has pakistani channels are still being sold.

PEMRA going to auction new DTH licenses very soon, may be within a month or two. Having secured a license, operator will be bound to start services within next 6 months or may be upto a year, not sure. These licenses will be very expensive, might touch 1 billion price per license. After selling such expensive licenses, PEMRA will be legally bound to protect rights of these new licensees and might step forward to eliminate the illegal operators.

So, in short, if you can manage a loss of 20-30K, than go with what best arrangement available right now. Otherwise, wait for next few months and see the changing scenario.

After buying most expensive licenses, these operator (actually Geo, ARY, Bol etc with new/different names) will urge and force PEMRA to dont let any other service / dish operate so that they could recover their investment and operational cost. In that scenario, the existing dish operators, being illegal, might face tough time. Secondly, introductory tariff of new licensed entrants is likely be to be much less as compare to existing dish service providers so they might not be in a position to continue in the competitive market and they will ultimately run away.

If you want only Pakistani and English channels then go got DWN..
It's the best choice available and it's licensed and official.

Hi brother, i want to rechage my dishtv. I have dish tv hd. 50 inch led screen but its of no use jab se ban laga hai. Market walay recharge nai kar rahay. Aap kahan se recharge karwa rahay hain? Plz tell me so that i can recharge.
Sari online website k through recharge karnay k liya ya tou aapko indian citizen hona chahye. Koi website pak k kiye recharge nai kar rahi.
Plz help me out !!!!!

well i have dish tv hd as well and i forgot to recharge it --now after ban every one is so scared ---my dish was not aligned and they wont even come close to it ----loll --any one here in rwp - isloo re charging dish tv hd --coz when u tell them about dish tv / or any indian set top box they change the subject thinking it might be pemra agents etc .
