Team Ninja has confirmed that Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will be coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this fall. The jiggly 3D fighting game will be available as both a retail game and digital download.
“Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate is a great addition to our franchise,” said Yosuke Hayashi of Team Ninja. “The game has a lot to offer and we’re excited that our fans will have the opportunity to enjoy an experience that delivers on our signature high energy fighting entertainment.”

Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will feature new content, including content from Dead or Alive 5 Plus' "Move Details Plus" and tutorial mode. The game will feature dynamic interactive stages that fans have come to love about the series, with new and past stages making a return including "new locations from the Ninja Gaiden series, such as Sky City Tokyo, and features deadly new danger zones including the Great Buddha Statue that change with the flow of the fight."

Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will have the largest lineup to date in the fighting game's series, including the first appearance of Ninja Gaiden's Momiji who will adopt Hayabusa's fighting style Aikijutsu. Additional characters will be announced in the coming months, but you can expect to see a large cast of fighters including Ryu Hayabusa, Hayate, Ayane, Kasumi, Hitomi, Bayman, Christie, Lei Fang, Zack, Kokoro, Bass, Rig, Jann Lee, Helena, Lisa, Brad Wong, Eliot and Tina. Akira, Pai, and Sarah Bryant from the Virtua Fighter series will also be joining in the action.

The game will feature a wide range of single player modes, including the story mode to allow players to get acquainted with the cast. And of course, the game will have an online mode to allow players to compete head-to-head. Here's the rundown:

[h=1]DOA 5 Ultimate Adds Team Fight, Combo Challenge, Movie Modes & More[/h]

When Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate bounces onto the scene this September, Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja have informed fans that they can expect a whole lot of additions to the game's single player experience including all new costumes, battle modes, and more.

As you can witness in the above action-packed trailer or read in the below boring-by-contrast press release, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate is living up to the "Ultimate" portion of its name by including quite a bit of content. Chief amongst the additions are the Team Fight mode, a Combo Challenge mode, and an improved Survival Mode to ensure your time spent competing against the computer is both exciting and slightly erotic. Oh, and speaking of which, pre-order bonuses were also announced and come in the form of (you guessed it) exclusive costume packs for select lovely ladies featured in the game.

Anyway, check out the above trailer and below overview to determine if Dead or Alive Ultimate is for you. The game arrives on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 3, 2013.

DEAD OR ALIVE 5 ULTIMATE SHOWS OFF NEW FEATURES FOR OFFLINE PLAY PLUS COSTUMES, BATTLE MODES AND PRE-ORDER INCENTIVES
Team NINJA, today released information for DEAD OR ALIVE 5 ULTIMATE highlighting new offline gameplay modes and character customization features. A plethora of costumes include new selections for each character and specialized “Pop Idol” sets. Players can now re-experience favorite battles and story scenes with highly customizable character animations. Gameplay additions include Team Fight mode, the return of Survival mode items, improved training modes, plus nearly 1000 titles will be unlockable. In addition, customers who pre-order the game at GameStop and Amazon will each receive exclusive costume packs for select female fighters at launch. Team NINJA has released new game play footage and screenshots showcasing the new additions.
A DEAD OR ALIVE game would not be complete without deep modes to help improve combat skills. In Team Fight mode, put together a team and compete against another player or the COM to takedown all of the characters on the opposing team. Characters must be selected strategically balancing skill sets, speed and styles in order to gain the advantage, and ultimately, the win. Icons below the health bar keep count of how many enemies are left to defeat. Improved training modes add new lessons for Tutorial mode, while Combo Challenge mode adds the ability to practice moves and strategies including Power Launchers and tag combos. Survival Mode now includes the return of items that are dropped with a ground attack or when an opponent is defeated. Each of the nine items has a special benefit such as a watermelon that will fully restore health if needed or reward bonus points. Additionally, the Move List from DEAD OR ALIVE 5 PLUS has been expanded in DEAD OR ALIVE 5 ULTIMATE with even more detailed information. Nearly 1000 new titles are available with a huge library for each character. Battling in different modes, clearing new missions and other new challenges unlock titles to be used to customize player profiles.
Costumes are abundant with not just a new outfit, hairstyle and animation for each of the girls, but also “Pop Idol” sets. The three “Pop Idol” sets showcase sisters Ayane and Kasumi in classic “JPOP” style; a schoolgirl inspired set for Hitomi, Kokoro, Leifang and Mila; and a seductive “bad girl” set for Helena, Lisa, Momiji, Rachel, Sarah and Tina. Costumes obtained in DEAD OR ALIVE 5 can also be transferred adding to the immense selection.
Players can relive favorite entrance and victory animations and story scenes with highly customizable character appearances. Accessible through “Movies”, players can finally personalize their experience in incredible detail including costume, hairstyle and more.

Haha, the cover art isn't really promiscuous. It just has a collage of all the (appropriately dressed) fighters.
The game's out on the US PSN but still not on the European PSN, which is the one I want (since my copy of DOA5 was Region 2 and all my DLCs/Trophies/Ranks etc. are Region 2)

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

I tried both NayaPay, and UBL, but I keep getting "correct country selected..." error. I already have PK set there 🤦‍♂️

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
