Yeah worldcall works awesome for me. Only reason to switch would be rates. But honestly I don't trust the local dealers of connect to provide decent service.

I am confused between Fariya Networks and Connect Communications. I want 4mb Broadband. What are your recommendations guys ?
I live in Block 15, Gulistan-e-Jauhar. I personally think that Connect sounds better, but I won't take any risk so please guide me.

Oh yes it is better. Same story bro, I am also gonna switch from 2mb PTCL which has messed up speed and ping is also high. From what I have learnt from Karachi users, Connect's ping is very low and speed is high so I am thinking of switching to connect.

P.S I am being over charged too.

Well I have both 4mb ptcl and 4mb connect, yap connect is faster as compare to PTCL, but ping is not stable on connect if using wifi, its fine on LAN.

Well, one simply cannot live without wifi.
Will it be ok if I connect the LAN wire to the port in the router ?

Thank you everyone for your reply, I contacted there dealer and they estimated about 2000rs for connection and monthly 900rs for 2mb area is DHA Phase 6 and 7.

Does anyone know of a way to change Connect's DNS to a public one? It won't let you change to Google DNS or anything else. Their DNS redirects Youtube to some site they have (dodear.com I think?) and I can't use my VPN on it either.

Today I got Connect 4Mbps installed, so now I have both Worldcall and Connect. Thing is the same torrent on which Worldcall is giving 400~440Kbps, Connect is giving 200~233, Why is there a difference of half.

Connect is almost working @2Mbps is it normal?

Torrents on connect.net always give 50 percent of the speed. Only direct downloads get the full advertised speed

connect never provide u 100% speed on torrent, it will give u 100% speed on http downloads, but not on torrent and this is one of the worse thing that they could do!

whatever package u have opted for, u will get 50% of the speed on torrent! while u may get 6-7mbps speed on https downloads!

I have been Paying ~2500 for 4Mbps package of Worldcall (which does have its down times), so I think its better to have Connect @1500 imo. I got your point that now torrent downloading will suffer but lets see if it didn't turn out to be a good decision I can switch back to worldcall.

I use a ryushare premium accounts and have ditched Torrents ...I get full 10mbps
