AOA. Coming directly to my issue. Been using Intel since the early 2000's with once or twice i have switched to AMD. Now with the current Ryzen 3000 series I am more inclined to it due to decent performance and more threads over intel. Not to mention PCI e 4.0. I intend to keep the PC for around 3 years till another upgrade. What do you guys suggest.

AMD Ryzen 3600x or Intel i5 9600k based PC? I do casual plus hardcore gaming when possible. Resolution is mostly 1080p/1440p or 4k depends on the game. Both of the mentioned PC's are more or less at the same cost.

There is always another series coming in a few months. Intel will launch their stuff in about 5-6 months and amd is supposed to launch the 4000 series in late 2020/early 2021. On the gpu side nvidia is launching ampere in a few months and amd is launching "the big navi" in a few months. Then nvidia is famous for releasing its ti and super cards every few months.

If you wait to build your pc until there isnt a new product launch in a few months youre gonna be waiting a long time.

Well said, if you think in this way then you will be ended up just waiting for every next few months and won't get anything. :laugh1:

Well looking at current scenario I am sure even if intel release its new line in 5/6 months will take more then that to reach Pakistan, its advisable to go with whatever is available in market.

Secondly this weird obsession with upgrades either its mobiles or PCs is getting very expensive.
