Imma Pindi Boy!
Need to buy an android gadget for my wife. Her usage is 80% youtube and then some pintrest, instagram, whatsapp, facebook etc so even 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory would work (she is already using a Moto Razr M XT907 and is satisfied but the XT907 is required somewhere else). I am looking towards buying the device that offers best value for money and I dont have to change it for atleast the next 2 years.

I have narrowed down to three options:

1. Moto X in Rs. 8,000
Its the cheapest 2GB RAM phone

2. Motorola Droid Turbo in Rs. 12,500
Its the cheapest 3GB RAM phone. She doesn't really need 3GB but it would be a good choice for future as it has a better screen, battery and can support lots of apps/ multitasking (if required)

3. Amazon Fire HDX 7" in Rs. 6,000
Keep the sim in a Nokia Asha 210. The seller has changed the OS to Android Kit Kat. It offers a bigger HD screen which is a plus for youtube but there is no glass protection, the other two have Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which may save the touch screen against drops

Pl enlighten me with what would be the best purchase in such a situation?

The Droid Turbo. Update it to the latest stock ROM and you'll get a good combo of performance and decent battery life.

Will be future proof and should have no issues with multitasking. Facebook and a few other apps you mentioned are RAM hogs so 3GB RAM should be perfect.

I have bought the Amazon Fire HDX in Rs. 5,750 + Rs. 250 Shipping via OCS + Rs. 250 Pouch
I am very impressed. The screen is sharp, the speed is good. It has ample space to install as much apps as you want. Mine has a Nano-SIM slot too. I haven't tested the sim yet.

CONS: No card slot, No back camera
