Can we use ps3 internal hdd as external?

I have upgraded my ps3 to 500 gb.

Now I want to use my ps3 40 gb internal hdd as external. I have heard there is some kind of cable is needed. What cable, where to get it & for how much?

Actually, I need to load some games from external hdd (the games that don't work on internal) on my jailbroken ps3 with kmeaw cfw 3.55.

If it's possible then plz guide me how to do it?

its a sata wire cable kit ! its available in market for 300rs etc ! it can connect ur internal 3.5 inch or 2.5 inch hdds via usb to anything with usbs needs external power tho and has some wires etc

or u can just get a 2.5 inch external enclosure for ur hdd and thats it but this would require external power too ! .. hope this helps

Ok so it's a complete kit, so what things r included in this kit? What is external enclosure & what do u mean by external power? I didn't understand. A single sata wire cable would not be enough?

no u also would need another power supply cable to connect to the hdd in order for it to power up ! this is an internal drive so it needs power supply aswell not like those passport wd ones which get powered up by usb power !

the kit includes a sata wire,power supply wire and a usb cable to attach to the sata wire and than connect to any usb media hope this helps but if u can get a 2.5 inch external enclosure that would be better for u i think !
