Here is the thing. I used to play games on PC but that was like in the Pentium times. Now all my info about PC (gaming) stuff is mostly outdated. So i need some suggestion about it. I have searched the internet for parts and have found out these. Please suggest me whether these would make a fine gaming PC or i need to replace something.

Motherboard: Asus Z97-Pro gamer

CPU: Intel core i5- 4960 .
what is the difference between 4960K and simple i have tried to search a lot but found them same in specs.

GPU: Raedon R9- 390 Gigabyte

RAM: G skill 8GB
I wanted to use cosair but during my searching over the internet i have found that g skill is much preferred for gaming than cosair (might be wrong open to suggestion)

Harddisk: western digital 1TB

Power supply: i don't have any idea which power supply should i get .(Open to Suggestion) (Budget 10k)

Casing: Corsair 200R gaming carbide chassis

Monitor: Same as Power supply i have no idea what should i get. I wants a IPS LED. (Open to suggestions) (Budget 20k-25k)

Thanks for your reply.
i was told that 6th generation are not that much good for gaming. And 4th generation are still pretty much good for gaming.
Besides i like the casing you have posted.

Certainly that statement is not true. One thing that you'll find in most reviews is that if you already own 4th Gen Intel there is very little incentive to switch to 6th Gen right away. If you are making a new PC go for 6th Gen Skylake. Obviously if you go for 6th Gen then you would have to go for DDR4 ram instead of DDR3 and they are a bit expensive. So look around for prices and see if it works for you.

DDR4 consumes slightly less power, there isn't much difference in performance. Though it may look faster from its clock speed but similarly the latencies are very high too. Its just what tech industry does, strong arming users to accept newer standards even though they may not matter in all use cases (only matters for mobile devices).

Now some thoughts;

Processor - Its your choice, which ever i5 you may choose, don't go below 2nd gen. K series doesn't matter, clearly you will not overclock it. If I had your kind of money, I would still buy a 3rd gen i7 as even though 4th-6th generations are here. They just don't deserve to be bought when a processor which performs in the neighborhood (in gaming) is so much cheaper than them. Intel is in monopoly, think of PTCL and its unchanging packages before this years revision... I'll simply wait for that kind of revision from Intel which will not happen until AMD posts a ground breaking processor (one hopeful is scheduled at end of 2016).

Intel And AMD Processor Hierarchy
This will show you where each processor currently lies, gaming only.

Motherboard - I buy that motherboard which fulfills my criteria like has at least 1x PCIe slot, 2x DIMM slots, 6x USB ports and 4x SATA ports. All other motherboards are just fluff for me. So naturally I go for a motherboard around the 8-13k range.

Graphics Card - Can't say anything about this. Like right now, I am fine with my 7950 as it plays everything I play at max quality. According to current trends, I will only feel a boost, If I update to latest Maxwell or Fury cards. So I am looking for a Fury Nano (I love compact systems).

Ram - G. Skill is good, actaully all brands are good even Kingston though you'll find it at the bottom in benchmarks. The performance difference just doesn't matter in reality. I have G.Skill 2300Mhz 8GB kit and hell it performs the same when ran at 1600Mhz. 16GB may matter down the line but right now, it does not. I have 16GB in my work laptop only because on idle it consumes 8GB. Ram is cheap and with quick resale, one can upgrade it anytime without significant loss.

Hard disk: I say, you must have a ~250GB SSD from Corsair/Transcend/AData as system drive and 2TB SV35 Seagate HDD as storage.

Power Supply: Corsair CS/CSM/RM series / CM Silent Pro Gold 600W+, don't be a miser in this, rather you should buy the best in your power envelope.

Casing: Any casing with at least a front and two back fans would do so feel free to buy anything.

The motherboard is a bit on the high side with extra goodies that you will never use. If you do plan on doing crossfire with 3 gpus and overclock the CPU then it is a viable one. You can get an mATX board with similar features too which will retain a higher resale price when you decide to upgrade. These high end ones lose their value very soon and are harder to sell. You have to cater for the occasional upgrade, if you intend to do PC gaming. I do a small upgrade every 2-3 months that ultimately costs me 2-5k extra.

The CPU is your choice, 4th i5 is fine which you can upgrade with i7 5th gen later. Motherboards for the even generations support the next odd generation processors i.e. 4th gen mobo will support 5th gen cpu and 5th gen mobo will run 4th gen cpu but will not support 6th gen cpu.

I started in the Core i series from i3 2100 with a 2nd gen mobo. After I bought a 3rd gen mobo. 4 months back I bought an i5 2500k and now I am looking for an i7 3rd gen. After the i7, I will have to change the mobo, cpu and ram to upgrade which will be far into the future. A man can't just throw in his life's work money just like that...

its better to get i5 4th as u can upgrade to i7 4th without changing mobo...and once u have 4th or 5th gen i7 u dont need to upgrade to 6th gen since it will not be much performance gain....
get a cheaper mobo as u wont be doing SLI or Crossfire
and a SSD with the money u save from mobo

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
