Brain vs. Brain comes to the Switch this December

Big Brain Academy is back, and this time for Nintendo Switch. Nintendo revealed a new trailer for Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain on Thursday morning, featuring a family of four going at one another in a battle of wits. The third game in the Big Brain Academy series will hit the Switch on Dec. 3 and only run families $29.99.

Nintendo describes Brain vs. Brain as a party game, letting players go up against family or friends in games that land in five standardized test categories: Identify, Memorize, Analyze, Compute, and Visualize. When playing multiplayer, players can individually adjust their academic level, so kids can even the playing field against their parents.

But Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain is also a single player game. Players can run daily drills to sharpen their mind before going head-to-head with other players. The trailer even shows two siblings using the same Switch in portable mode, thanks to the touch screen.

In addition to letting you fight your family with your brain, Big Brain Academy will also let you download other players’ data and battle against their “ghosts” on your own system.

While Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain is the first game in the series to hit the Switch, Nintendo did launch a Brain Age for Switch in 2019, but never released it in North America.
