Bethesda Softworks selects Kynapse for Rogue Warrior™
Paris/France, Rockville/Maryland, USA– March 13, 2007 – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax Media company, announced today that they have selected Kynapse for Rogue Warrior a creative tactical first person shooter that is currently being developed by Zombie Studios. This new title will use the Unreal 3 Engine from Epic Games, and is in development on Xbox 360™, PLAYSTATION®3 and PC platforms.
“A major reason for selecting Kynapse was its seamless integration within the Unreal 3 Engine,” said Todd Vaughn, VP of Development at Bethesda Softworks. “Our development team was able to leverage Kynapse full set of functionalities and tools very quickly. We can generate automatically Kynapse streamable hierarchical AI data directly within the Unreal Editor. The use of Kynapse pathfinding is transparent and Kynapse low level AI perfectly complements our advanced high level AI.”
“We are delighted to be working with Bethesda Softworks and Zombie Studios on Rogue Warrior,” said Pierre Pontevia, CEO of Kynogon. “Zombie is a true expert in military games. They have a long experience of developing groundbreaking FPS titles. Together with Bethesda and Zombie, we are looking forward to a very creative and productive relationship.”
