Best ISP for Bahria Town Rawalpindi/Islamabad

PTCL has recently added new wiring and new DPs in Phase 5 with Fiber backbone so you will get solid connection. You must have noticed the new DPs and all the digging that was done for it and the Fiber cabinet. You can go for regular ADSL or even VDSL (if you need more than 1Mbps upload) Transformed packages (5Mbps 2000/10Mbps 2500 and so on), you should be able to get full speeds without any issue. PTCL is the only wired connection choice right now until CCP's case about Bahria Town not allowing them is resolved.
Yes i saw them. They even came for digging in my street and said this is for fiber wiring. But i called PTCL exchange Bahria Town last week for ordering and they said yahan koi fiber wiring nahi hae and it will take atleast 3 months for that. Plus they said you can only get upto 5mbps package and copper wire doesnot support more than this
Fiber isn't present yet but copper is connected to fiber cabinet now and result should be good. Visit exchange in person and talk to the technical guys in exchange (one is named Umar I think), their room is to the left inside exchange.
Riddle them with I need 10Mbps VDSL package (2500/month) and see what they say.
Guys at last i got my fiber GPON device installed today. They installer said that the other team will come and configure the modem tomorrow after you pay the fees i.e Rs:3000.
I need to know that whether this fees is mandatory or hes just trying to make money. Last time i got a connection , i didnt pay them any thing.

Any fees associated with your connection upgrade/installation are added to your upcoming bill. I don't believe workers are authorized to collect these charges. Call 1236 and confirm.
hey guys, im in safari villas 1 and got the ptcl transform package 20mbs for rs 3000, but im only getting 13mbs with frequent disconnection.

I think you should do that. Converting to vdsl will help. If u mind showing your line stats then thats going to show the exact picture. But having said that, i guess 20mb is too much for copper to handle.

I see no mention of them on ptcl website. How did u get 20mb connection for 2500/month.

They're unofficial, but official at the same time.
Only available at the Bahria Town exchange, go there, ask for Hassan and upgrade yourself if you're on VDSL or GPON.

here are the line stats and also the prices of the transform packages
5MB = Rs. 2,000
10MB =Rs. 2,500
20MB =Rs. 3,000
50 MB =Rs. 4,000
Just so you know, Govt of Punjab also imposed additional 19% tax on broadband. I paid Rs. 960 extra on my Rs.3000 package this month. I live in Phase II b.w
Your line is too bad dude. and why hiding the other stats ? just post the complete page of Statistics > xDSL page.
