Behind The Scenes Video Of Heavenly Sword
The Sony sponsored blog Three Speech just posted behind the scenes footage of the upcoming PS3 hack’em slash’em fest, Heavenly Sword.
Weta studios is providing their digital facilities to motion capture actors for the game. The studio has done astounding work in 3D animation and motion capturing for the Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong as well. Andy Serkis who played Golum and Kong is taking the helm as the Dramatic Director for Heavenly Sword. Not only will he be motion capturing several characters in the game, he is also directing all of the motion capture scenes. They are even capturing facial movements, to translate them into realistic performances for their digital counterparts.
I was impressed by the first screenshots of the game, way back when we thought the sixaxis was a boomerang. Now the title looks like it is shaping up nicely. The PS3 is starting to look pretty tempting.
