Anywhere in the world :p
Well.. first of all the idea occured to me, I'd never really explored Pakistan even while living there for so many years.

I thought maybe we could go all the way to the Chinese Border ... on the Silk Highway.... And explore the beauty of mountains.

Mode of travel : I have a car, that should be able to bear the miles....
Well if it doesn't ... we can hitchhike lol...

Time period... Maybe 2-3 weeks.

What I am looking for: A really cool guy or girl.. for that matter... ( Please don't be a nag if you're a girl, i hate such things..) , who won't complain about being tired... I am not carrying anyone...
Someone willing to just do the miles...
Someone who can laugh and not stop at every second to take pictures ( seriously, you can take as many pictures as you want by yourself if you're quick... but I ain't shooting yours every step of the way..)
I am not in a hurry, so I can plan this well in advance.. we don't have to go next day or week.. It can be in 1-2 months...
If you die, I won't be responsible.
If you get injured, I won't be responsible.
If you smoke, it don't matter. If you get drunk, I wont wait up for you.

I think You understand who I am looking for now. Someone just following his nose, and reveling in the beauty of nature and not worried about how he/she looks for every photoshoot.

If that sounds like you hit me up with a PM....

I have the car, you don't have to pay a cent for that... We split the fuel and other costs, which to me is a very fair deal.

I try to keep travel partner to just 1 or max 2 ( not in favour of even three people because the logistics become a problem.. with too many people). I am the sort of guy who would sleep in the car if the need arose, so PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BE A NAG.

Good luck to anyone who is interested. Let me know how long you can be available and what problems you are likely to have when you are away....

I have traveled till hunza valley. Be safe , its not child's play. Your 4 tyres will be your life. 2 on the right will be death and 2 on your left is your life. balance it carefully .
Drive slow and with caution. You need to rest rather than endlessly driving. make a trip with stay overs . This is Pakistan , you don't sleep in car here . Overall just be careful and if you do manage to join forces with someone do remember despite your conditions mentioned he will be your responsibility.

Now that's one adventurous dude.

I've never been to these regions but have always been told by others how dreadful the roads are in these places. I'll only say that you seek and consider due counsel of those who've been around those parts and then take your decision, because if what I've heard is true, the roads really are pretty dangerous.

Good luck!

Btw, is that region even accessible by ordinary cars or would you need to hire those jeeps or something?

You should at least take responsibility of bringing the dead bodies back [\sarcasm]

The farthest I have travelled is to some areas of Kashmir around Muzaffarabad (which is nothing compared to areas further north) and even the roads there were enough to give me nightmares. Believe me a nagging partner is the least of your concerns when driving along the side of a mountain with nothing but air on one side of your car. Plus the paths are often blocked due to bad weather and land sliding etc. Driving in those areas is not a very bright idea.

Thanks .. for your kind advice...
As I said, if someone is going to be my responsibility, I am fine with that. The rest of the post was perhaps made to make sure what i was talking bout.

That's what makes the trip worthwhile baby.....

I am not afraid of dying.. being held at gunpoint 5 times in my life.. due to different reasons whatsoever....

I love the fact, that I will be flirting with danger... I suppose people don't understand the meaning of adventure.. What's adventure without a bit of risk in it....

Those who are peeing their pants at the thought of this, clearly aren't the ones, I was reaching out for....

Nevertheles, thanks for your advice all the same.

The only point I nag about is, I don't want a sissy... to be there.. complaining...

That's all :)

And sure, I hate taking pictures all the time...

Once again.. I have some options... And I hope I will make best use of them. No harm in trying is there :p

Oh haan, it doesn't have to be January... I like to plan well in advance as I said.. It could be a month from now... in Feburary or even March for that matter.

At this hour ? Are u seriously. There will be road blocks and avalanches falling in on this side of the road. Also from Dec to March this side of travelling is very much risky. Also you need a 4x4 jeep or something to travel. I've been on this road plenty of times and i am aware that this time of the season is " Strictly " not to go. Also Khunjerab Pass is not easy to cross and seriously dude you and your companion would like to travel at max of 2 persons. Are u kidding me....

No offense

PS : have you done your homework travelling on this roads ?

Lol guys.. I am not taking offense...

In fact I am delighted you guys are warning me about the potential problems I might have to face....

I know it will be tough.... I might not make it back alive... but I just love challenges.

Haan on a serious note, i want to know if there is any cellular service in these parts? If yes, then what is the best sim to buy ? I have ufone.. just wanted to know which company offers maximum coverage at these high altitudes...
