Any GameDev internship opportunities in Lahore?

I'm done with my sophomore year as a CS major at LUMS and I've invested a month of my summer vacations into learning C#, looking into a bit of XNA dev and I'm currently diving into Unity. I've searched online for any kind of internship opportunity that will bring me into contact with actual game developers so I can get hands on experience and hopefully pick up some tricks of the trade. Someplace where I'm assigned some work and I get to engage in conversations with people who know where they're headed.

I do have some experience with game development. I made an over-world, sprite based 2d game as my semester project during freshman year and have also worked with some graphics libraries for C++.

So, getting to the point: If somebody knows where I can find such an opportunity in Lahore (or Multan), please let me know. Also, if somebody's got a position open for an intern, do consider me!

Lahore is the Silicon Valley of Pakistan having many good GameDev companies like Mindstorm Studios , Caramel Tech and The Game Storm Studios where you can apply for the internships/jobs . Just drop them an email with an attached resume and a nice cover letter to show your interest .

I'll recommend you to start exploring Unity3D yourself, there are plenty of game development communities where people are willing to help if you put some effort in whatever you are making.

PixelProspector - the indie goldmine wikipedia of game development , explore this as well.

There are many online game jam events, participate in them.. you'll learn a lot.

Talking about gamedev companies in Pakistan, if not all.. most of them work on cheap clones of popular games you see on the app stores, they don't really care about the quality and tbh you won't learn much other than coding techniques and some basic tool usage, but you can still give them a try
