PC Alone in the Dark: Illumination

Atari announced today that the classic game Alone in the Dark will be releasing in re-imagined forms on the PC this fall.

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Aug 19, 2014) - Atari®, one of the world's most recognized publishers and producers of interactive entertainment, today announced that re-imagined versions of two classic titles, Alone in the Dark® and Haunted House® are coming to PC in Fall 2014. At PAX Prime, taking place Aug. 29-31 in Seattle, Atari will be providing live demonstrations of numerous recently announced and yet-to-be-released titles.

Atari announced today that two classic franchises will be unveiled at PAX next weekend. Haunted House, last seen on Wii and Xbox Live Arcade in 2010, and Alone in the Dark, most recently on Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3, will be coming to PC later this year.

Atari hasn’t shared any details about either title, but we’re interested to see what the publisher is planning. Based on the websites, Pure is handling Alone in the Dark: Illumination and Dreampainters is working on Haunted House. We weren't able to find any information on Pure, but Dreampainters previous work includes the horror title Anna, published by Kalypso.

The company will also have Minimum on PC, Roller Coaster Tycoon World on PC, and Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 Mobile in Seattle at PAX. Hmm. I love this game and I have a lot of respect for it . It came before Resident evil and I consider it the flag carrier of survival horror games since Alone in the Dark was the one to introduce this genre. I enjoyed Alone in the Dark a lot and it is amongst the best games I ever played in my life.

The series did fade away and Capcom came up with a much superior and polished version with Resident Evil Series and I love that too. But Alone in the Dark will always remain on top for me.

I wonder if its a Remastered version or a New hi budget game since the last Alone in the dark didn't do well.
