Advise for a subject selection for lyceum scho

Assalam o alikum members i am about to get enrolled in Lyceum and decided to ask some question from the members of PG who went to Lyceum about subjects ,teacher etc, feel free to answer them whenever you get free time. (Btw I did the payments and all and have recieved got 1A* and 2 As in O2)
My question are as follows.
1) I have been given the choice of GP,global prospective and language ,so i wanted to ask if i should consider language or just stick with the GP and how are the teachers of GP and the reaching style?
2) Will we get the choice of piring teachers and which teachers are best (In chemistry,maths, biologi and physics ? (i am a science student )
3) I didnt took ad math in o level ,so what do you think is taking math a good idea and can i cope with physics without having math.
4) And finally any piece of advice for me as fresh college student.

Just dont overburden yourself with subjects.
They seem like 4 subjects but a levels is tough.

DO NOT TAKE A LEVELS LIGHTLY( NOTE THE WORDS IN BOLD THATS HOW SERIOUS I AM)
the worst mistake students make is they have the same o level mindset. They do not study hard enough and get real bad grades in a levels
They skip classes and indulge in other useless activities.
I have seen people with 6 or 7 A's in o levels with scholarships in a levels get D's and E's.
And since they loose their scholarships they leave the school and go private so just focus on your studies and dont make this mistake.
I assume you will get a scholarship too so try to maintain it.

1.I wont recommend GP at all since its half credit and most of the time its waste of time and as beastmode said university abroad needs language and so is true.
2.For teachers you will get teachers according to lyceum but you can ask your guidance counselor to change to the certain teacher, TBH it depends on you.Still i'll let you know some good teachers,

Chemistry=Farhan Khan
bio=Dr hassham, although he teaches chem as well but Farhan Khan is best for Chem.
Physics=Yawar Abbas
Maths=Shams Lalani or Shahab Yakoob(well he is my teacher and probably you'll get him as well since he teaches to non-add maths students).He used to be a good teacher but nowadays he is more of a sarcastic.So if you dont feel good with him just go to Sir Shams he is a good teacher or Sir Rafay Sheikh he is a very great teacher does teach accounts as well as maths.

3.You will need maths for sure since your a science student but add maths covers A level maths p1 and few concepts of s1.Would recommend you taking a look at add maths before session and have a bit grip over it so you dont feel much burden since chem, bio and phy are very difficult at A level.AGAIN SAME ADVICE DONT TAKE IT EASY OR ELSE YOU'LL SUFFER.

4.Lyceum's a nice place and dont worry just make a balance between studies and ECA and you'll rock these 2 years honestly students their are all excel students and are helpful so you can even ask your seniors to help you in studies etc and they wont mind doing.BEST OF LUCK for this year's CIE's and CONGRATS for your enrollment.

Listen GP is meant to be given at A2 as far lyceum is concerned, still you can ask them.But again why you want to give GP its a crappy subject and a waste of time and its a half credit subject as well.

I just want to foucus on these 4 main subjects (bio,phy,chem and maths) cauz everyones telling me that language is difficult and i myself am not not good at it ,in GP i dont need to study i guess as homework is less , btw what are we taught at GP? Lyceum has a policy of GP or lang to be compulsory you need to give em.rest I dont know exactly how much a class of GP is ill let you know

How about global perspective ,is it intersting or hard? I did take geography and environmental management in my o levels .

Don't have any idea about global perspective, check the syllabus and past paper you'll get a rough idea.But i would suggest taking something which would benefit you as well.Rest check the course outline.

Hey nightwinger i also private messeged you but then i thought i might post this question on forum maybe somebody else also get some help ,i just wanted to ask you a question that whether mobile ,tablet or laptop is allowed in a level colleges like Lyceum or not as i am about to buy myself one but confused what to buy ,a fancy phone or a laptop or tablet for study purpose and also if not allowed any of these does students still bring them for study purpose.

Phones are allowed but you can take them out after a certain time, but who cares most student use them anyways in the school premises.What you need to do with a laptop or tablet?Cedar has some mandatory iPad use so they allow that as well rest i dont think tablet and laptop makes sense.Though i confirm mobile phones are allowed and you can use them.

well science mostly takes Mechanics but doesnt matter you can stats(s1) in first year and second year you can take m1 or s2.Personally i would recommend you taking s1 in AS while m1 in A2, because m1 is consisting of the same o physics material so with p3 you will have some edge.While s1 and s2 will be totally new for you since your non add maths so s2 would tackle you a bit.examsolution.net use this website for maths.
