6th gen Pentiums

Does anyone have any info about availability of 6th gen Pentiums in Pakistan ? Did Intel Pakistan launched it and is it available at any shop or Intel dealers in Karachi ?

Not sure, but I have used 4 gen Intel pentium (anniversary edition ) oc to 4.5ghz, it was a beast processor just amazing until I upgraded to i5 and sold it

intel and other giant tech companies got to know this that a while ago ppl got away with a gr8 5k asus mobo and 6-7k pentium proccs, plugged in 20k super gpu and gr8 gaming is as ultra cheap and easy to get....so they manipulated the market by pulling skylake pentium out of this market and the cheapo 4-5k mobos...now the least u get is 6-7k mobo and 13k i3 processor hence doubling the amount to buy the same thing that would perform same with a 12k mobo/procc setup and good gpu.
Its called market monopolies, and although ppl will tell different stories but the real reason is as stated above (now more than a year has passed and this is surely a market monopoly dragged tooooo far)
So Unfortunately we have to live with that and i myself bought the same 20k setup as i had no other options left. guess what ill down the GPU market now, by not buying any external gpu and playing more than 2-3 year old titles which still offer gr8 graphics and playability on hd 530 graphics (gaming is not too gr8 either in recent titles, its now all about eye candy and not the actual gameplay...heck i can watch youtube and enjoy the latest titles graphics to my hearts content...games like cnc franchise is dead, stronghold, ages of empires, supreme commander etc....this rts era just sucks and first person shooters like crysis as well down to non existent...resident evil has bcome a gory and a saga of monster mania...gone are the good old days of nemesis and dedicated monsters ...nows just the graphics and huge monsters u got to watch on 70000 rig which is good for nothing.)
and btw the gpu market is getting too high as well to the point where u only get a new playabe good gpu above 15k....those sub 10k gpus are shit and hd 530 integrated competes them hard alrdy...

as i stated that the HD 530 is highly capable as i am seeing it, so buying 4gen with sub 10k gpu is same as this core i3 6100 config as any gpu in paki market upto 10k is not able to surpass it, gpus are almost double the international prices here. so the minimum u would than need is GTX 750 ti which is going on for 15k to make the difference...on the other hand old used gpus consume much power and more likely to be dead soon...its reallly hard to find a good legitimate used gpu (not refurb/repaired/imported thing). so thats why ppl like me always opt for new thing, and hence i got forced into buying this i3 with integrated. im content with my new PC and soon may add the GPU when i get money.
SO the end summary is u wanna play GTA V on 1080p on medium settings, HD 530 will just do that, no need to throw 10-15k anymore.

Its worth mentioning that the 10-15 year old i.e. the pentium's era 5k motherboard is today's 10k because of the depreciation of our currency. I remember that during the musharaff regime dollar was ~58 Rs, it is now ~100 Rs mark but went as high as 108 at one point.

The prices in international markets don't usually change much and they have actually GONE DOWN ALOT in the past 2-3 decades. The first ever system that i got was IBM 286 back in 1990 and it was over 1 LAC AT THAT TIME (which is easily today's 3 LAC+). Nobody had pc's back at that time in homes and it was considered a huge luxury item because it was EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. I still remember to this day that my street friends used to come to my home to play Graham Gooch Cricket on it. Now it is dirt cheap, almost every Tom, Dick and Harry have it so no prices certainly haven't gone up.

no actually pentium mobo is not 10k even now....even core i3 mobo is available for 6.5k...what i telling is that they have completely controlled the market by blocking skylake pentium from coming here, combined with the 5k mobos. thats my concern.....its over an year now and its a big shame together with all the shameful business practices in pakistan...look at how shamefuly the new a4-tech keyboard/mouse price has been raised from sub 100-200 to a whopping 700+ pkr in just 1 year. is it now the fking petrol they used to say is impacting their fking businesses?
