4K DSR vs. 1080p

dude i m trying to use DSR with games like Wolfenstein new order and fallout 4 but for some reason its not working. how did u manage to force it in your games?

just enable the DSR option in Nvidia Control panel tick all the resolution available and then select the desired resolution from the in game settings

i can only find 2 options in my Nvidia control panel
1. DSR -Factors
2. DSR - Smoothness
i have tried changing both options but so far no good. the problem is that its not being applied in game. the max res i see is 1080. maybe the games i have checked don't support DSR?

Yes its not supported in all the games.i have tested them with Bioshock infinite,Black ops 3 ,mad max.they were working perfectly.

DSR option isnt in Control panel... Click Geforce expernce click any game click on settings and select 4k resolution
than select 2k resolutions apply both times
and automatically ur Nvidia DSR wll b activated and 90% of ur games will have 4k resolutions than reduce DSR Smoothness to 6% and ur Good to GO.

desktop icons?!!! but Nvidia's offical DSR doesnt effect desktop, the resolutions i keep only in the games not on desktop, txt hud arent good with it , only the Game is.

Yes he is right.DSR doesn't affect the desktop settings.Only the ingame resolution.Try setting up your tv settings.

in-game only .. Nvidia offical dsr works great for games just make smoothness 6% from nvidia control panel and look at the 4k glory of ur games.

nice u upgraded to 1070 from 980ti just wanted to know if its worth it

GTX 1070 isn't worth it. for new games it already out of 1440p ULTRA (Including MSAA)

Yeah The difference is clearly visible on 1080p Monitors, I personally prefer bumping up resolution through DSR instead of Applying GPU Taxing Anti Aliasing options such as MSAA, which helps removing the Jaggie's !

Another important trick is forcing 16x Anisotropic Filtering via Nvidia control panel which makes visible difference specially in Syndicate, by default syndicate has 4x AF ![SUB][SUP]

i hate AA it makes the image blurry on edges so u wont feel the jaggies but if u remove AA man o man u see the textures with so much clearity .. hate AA .. i love the new resolution Scaling though it eliminates the need for DSR

4K is a game changer , the thing is once you have seen proper 4K you cannot downgrade to any other resolution , it spoils you in a good way .

that is kinda true but 32" 4k monitors are hell expensive right now... and 27inch 4k isnt worth it.
