@helraizer @Pleasant @asad3man
my first render nt something big just a peculiarly colored cup
Modeling can be improved the shape of cup and handle needs to be fixed
looks like you jumped to vray or something first stick to basic
learn scanline render then move on

Here is a tutorial on modeling a cup the technique is same in every application only thing is different is tools
you can see the tutorial to have basic knowledge of modeling how the topology should be created which polygons you need to create and how

What render engine you are using ?
there are Lots of Render engine available in market

3dsmax comes with Scanline renderer , Iray and Mental ray
then there is after market render engines available vray, maxwell, octane, lux, keyshot, renderman

Mental ray scanline and vray are the most used render engines

Nice decision DSlayer...ur gonna have a lot of fun in the coming months. I just started a few months ago on C4D, I just find it much easier and intuitive to use. I know it cant do ALOT of the thing max can but I'm willing to settle for being "good" at C4D, people create some cool looking stuff in C4D.

Nice try still requires more work on topology right now there is bulge at handle surrounding area
it is not necessary to make handle from same mesh you can create Handle separately and place it over the cup

the handle part bugs me alot i create the handle from and nurbs path and bevel it into a circle but adjusting the ends always messes up but i think it can much beeter with a little more effort and light.making handle frm extruding side and creating a bridge , is getting hard on meas i cant adjust the angle downward

I would recommend working on editable poly nurbs are bit teadous to work on execept few things i never worked on nurbs

then how would u do it?
as i Said Editable poly is the answer for all modeling solution you need to check out the tutorials all the complex geometry is made of polygos via edit poly/editable poly
BOX BY BOX / Polygon by polygon

i would recommend you downloading the crack copy of 3dsmax 9 3dsmax 11 or any version or if you can afford would recommend buying it
why i am recommending 3dsmax over blender because there is Vast Video tutorial library available online youtube torrents e.t.c

though you can still keep on using blender and still follow Modeling tutorials which are done on 3dsmax because modeling is a technique you can do it in any
3D based software which supports Editable poly based modeling either 3dsmax maya xsi blender modo e.t.c ( Modo is awesome for modeling it has great tool set made specifically for modeling needs )

Here is a Blender tutorial FOLLOW the tutorial completely step by step keep going back n forth until you get the desire result
// Model the Perfect Cup of Italian Coffee in Blender by Filippo Veniero

Good luck :wink2:
