AOA, Bro i have i5 2400 and i have done quite a research on it. and according to my knowledge nothing can even compete with it for the price and performance.
This GPU performance benchmark means a lot at gaming performance (this means how would be the performance with 2400 coupled with the best GPU (and the built in GPU too IMO) and as you've seen it is the best in the world in that), There are several more benchmarks which shows it to be better than i7
Abby posted a summary of benchs where 2500K was compared with 2400. And the performance is almost equal (the difference is not visible in the real world) and some times 2400 is even better than 2500K.
so i would be 100% sure on this that if u don't OC and there is no need of OCing too) then with a i5 2400 you will be equally future proff as compared to the 2500K

I really do not believe in 'future proofing'. it is usually cheaper and more beneficial to just buy a new rig when the old one has out grown you.
You really need to figure out the benefit of over clocking: Games usually do not benefit in the sense that anything unplayable becomes playable.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
