Hey man could you update this thread with new packages?
Optix for one has started offering packages of much higher speeds that are competitively priced as well
Wow they worked on this fast. Downstream rate upped to 8127 and it took less than a day :O
Thanks alot for your help dude. I really appreciate it. You were a huge help throughout all this. Now all I need is a really long Ethernet cable to get the best speeds out of this and hope I don't run...
I already have complained to 1218 and when I told them that they just said "Toh sir phir wait kar lain na" :|
Anyways could you tell me what department is 1212?
The thing is I already have an 8mb package. That's what I ordered in the first place. The only reason I got 4mb was because the guy who came to install it set it up that way. Even said that my package would be downgraded to 4mb since that's what I'm running but I called today and found out I'm...
Oh got it got it. Once again thanks for the detailed explanation and sorry for bothering you again and again but could you help me out again? :P I get the feeling that my line CAN support 8 mb and that guy was just bullshitting me
Line stats
Wow thanks alot for the detailed response man. Definitely helped me understand.
Fiber does come up to my local exchange but yeah like you said I don't exactly live near the exchange. I had the option to install fiber by my local cable/internet provider but they were charging an insane amount...
Okay so I finally got the connection installed but when installing it the "broadband engineer" told me that my line doesn't support 8mb? And that it might 'just' run 4 mb. So I'm stuck with 4mb right now that seems to be working fine.
Could you help me understand how my line can't support 8mb?
That won't be needed but wow, talk about bad luck. Turns out my calling actually helped me and at around 4 I got a call from the local guy saying my that my connection would be installed today. You must be thinking "What bad luck?" Well, wapda decided that today was the day that they wanted to...
Yeah I know what you mean. But like I said, I tried calling them but no one even bothered to pick up from there.
Lineman phone uthai ga toh paisoun ki baat karnoun ga -_-
Called stormfiber but they aren't available in my area and don't have plans of expanding there in the near future...
I have heard that it is now unplayable in countries which do not support handful of third world countries not recognized by Sony like Pakistan. Steam is a true global platform. Then they cry that console gaming is dying.
