Clarification regarding the Nayatel vans we saw in BT. Disappointing answer, stupid BT management is still being stubborn even after being publicly shamed and fined 2 mil.

Just my luck and thanks to DHA i already have atleast 2 companies fiber cable (wateen & multinet) passing right outside my house but can't get a connection cause they aren't allowed to give residential but they were somewhat willing to give a commercial connection of course on sky high prices.

And now PTCL has messed up my front garden laying their cable, people digging and putting says its fiber but looks wierd, but yet again as its just passing and its PTCL can't get that as well sigh....

Fuck housing societies and their retarded pricing and restrictions imposed on ISPs.

Here in Bahria we have PTCL GPON, but due to upgrades at the exchange, it keeps cutting out, no other ISP is allowed thanks to the assholes running the Rawalpindi part of BT.

True that i asked several companies if they were gonna launch in my area fiberlink weren't interested but stormfiber, brain net and optix all are waiting for permission from DHA , even though optix is operating in phase 5 and 6. At the end of last year even heard from a ptcl worker that ptcl was planning on launching fiber around mid of this year but again its ptcl. Wateen is trying out fiber in phase 5 very slowly as well.

I don't get it do these companies need like different permissions ? as wateen already is providing services almost all over DHA via hfc and due to the location of my house near commercial plazas they provide fiber there but can't provide fiber to me -_-

Disappointed even though probably wouldn't have been able to get a fiber connection , it turned out to be a copper cable :/

So looks like no FTTH in DHA Lahore anytime soon .

Hi guys, I'm using stormfiber 10mbps and just got the connection yesterday. I've noticed that when I download any torrent file on my laptop, the modem starts crashing and restarting, while I can download torrents on my phone without any problems. Any leads?

Good news for DHA Lahore residents, i checked Transworlds website and it seems they have reached an agreement with DHA Lahore. I asked them directly and they said they are in the process. I have heard they have even started digging and putting cables in some areas of Phase 3 but it will still take them a few months to properly launch fingers crossed hope they start with residential instead of commercial though.

I have news that Stormfiber and Fiberlink is coming to Rawalpindi. Fiberlink is alrady operating in Islamabad but only to corporate level. So I am hoping to get the service once they are available soon :)
