    The point of linking that thread (OP post) was to let you know that if you rate it you can only do a single overall rating of the product. 5 star based, preferably without increments. Not essential to score but that's how scoring works now.

    When you'll extract the ISO on another drive (or in a folder in another drive), it'll act just like a normal software setup. Your C: drive's windows will be upgraded.

    Extract the ISO in a separate drive. And just run the setup from there. Let it upgrade your existing Windows.

    If you have legit Win8.1 with you, then just do an upgrade. Download an official Windows 10 ISO (like, the Insider Preview build 10240), extract its contents on your HDD run the setup. It'll automatically upgrade your Win8.1 to the latest. Since Win10 uses motherboard (UEFI more specifically - since it saves the key in your hardware) to bind the license, it won't be a problem for you if you upgrade. If your lappy doesn't have UEFI, then you might run into trouble if you do a clean install.

    yep he is on right track it will take time things will be better in future but in the end it is what users who makes the platform / break the platform and i feel there are very few of them Right now who has willingness to contribute to the community

    Its a very good plan. I did the same with my ancient Thinkpad T500. Upgrading it to a SSD (despite being a 2nd hand) made a tremendous difference in its performance.

    You can use "Acronis" to safety transfer/clone your C: drive to your new SSD. It'll also automatically optimize the SSD.

    Its not free, but i guess you can find other means to get your hands on it.

    Also, i don't recommend cloning your drive like that. Install Windows 10, and install a fresh version of it. But if you already has Windows 10 install then by all means go for the cloning.
