Still way better than the frame time spikes in the PC version, which are higher than those seen on PS5/Series X and not just limited to background loading 🤷‍♂️

I guess the real issue is if it is ' consistently ' stuttering vs traversal stutters only!

PC ports due to shader compilations, stutter consistently!

Hypee trailer!!

Delay pushed it too close to Redfall though (May 2). And given how the first game had technical problems, might be better to wait a bit to play this.

Xbox is the least reviewed version so far so better wait for more reports.

Windows Central:

Performance mode mainly was fine throughout my playthrough, with one notable caveat. Whenever I was exploring Koboh and got close to the hub area, the resolution and framerate noticeably tanked, with some textures even taking a couple of seconds to pop in. It was jarring whenever it happened, with a marked difference in the game's visual quality and the responsiveness of the controls, so I hope this is something the developers can improve before or shortly after launch.
Gamespot:

On a final note, Survivor's technical performance is a stumbling block that must be noted. Playing on Xbox Series X, I experienced random crashes on a number of occasions, all annoyingly during cutscenes before the game had a chance to autosave. On one unlucky (and deeply frustrating) occasion, the game crashed during the cutscene following an especially challenging multiple-phase boss fight that had taken me many attempts to finally beat

Factually incorrect. The PS5's SSD wasn't the fastest at or before the PS5's launch. It's the whole IO setup, ranging from the SSD to the decompressor that comes together to deliver the fastest throughput. It may be surpassed now on PC with DirectStorage, but that's still awaiting a real-world example that uses GPU decompression 🤜

Moreover, Necrokiller tends to forget that pop-in can happen due to other bottlenecks 🤷‍♂️
