Finally a wise decision by them for releasing the game on PS4 as well, I knew it somehow they won't left behind their Millions of PS4 users out there and for the delay part it was already expected to be released in 2022, there isn't a single trailer (not including teaser) out there.

understandable...however personally I am not a huge fan of delaying a game and investing in porting a game for ps4, instead of expanding and improving god of war for next gen ~ over 2 years after launch of next gen

Yep. This is basic economics of AAA game development. God of War is one of their best selling franchises. It'd be silly for them to make a high budget AAA game and not sell it on PS4.
There’s an opportunity to expose those great games to a wider audience and recognise the economics of game development, which are not always straightforward.
There will most likely be a PS5 only God of War after Ragnarok because this one is coming in the early generational cycle unlike God of War on PS4. That's another reason why Ragnarok is coming to PS4. It doesn't have enough God of War. They created a whole new world and locked probably most of it so they could open it up for sequels.

Pretty sure he agrees because its a good decision for porting a game for last gen as well (Marketing wise) game will be sold way more on PS4 for sure but yeah it will cost decent amount of time for improving the game for PS5. After all its all about business in the end.

yeah and that same game will be resold on the ps5 again when then the ps4 users get ahold of a ps5 if they want to play in fooorK and 60fps all that blah blah.
I'd imagine there would be a lot more PS5 owners around the time of Ragnarok's launch. But it's clear that Jim Ryan is in profit maximization mode, and he'll eventually put the game on any hardware that can run it. I'm not even ruling out an Xbox port at some point, and whenever a decent amount of mobile devices are able to run it, an iOS/Android port as well. Such is the "economics of Jim Ryan" lol.
God of War 2018 sold roughly 20 million on a 115 million user base in 3 years. You'd "imagine" Ragnarok would outsell it on a fraction of a user base when it launches? I wana take some of those economic lessons you've taken, for teh lulz
no idea how that is a steal by wasting 3500 rupees per month and for games that are removed before you can finish them off.xbox gamepass is garbage with no local prices

Just finished Diablo 4 season in hurry to play Fallout 4 but gamepass released another banger in the form of Star Wars on April 25th. Gamepass is a steal man.
Is it just me or people lately seem to defend every bad game design decision made by the devs and try to give bullshit reasons for that? Or perhaps it's because I'm on reddit and discord
