Hi PGers,

Recently we have been active on social media pushing and trying to encourage growth. A focus has been made to promote stuff on facebook, youtube and twitter, but I feel it would be worthwhile to look inwards and
ask, like always, the community - What would you like for us to focus on ?

Now before you start giving the feedback, I would like to lay a couple of guidelines.

The aim is to have healthy engaging discussion, not bashing the forum.

1) I am looking for genuine actionable feedback

For example
A) Change the mods, the forum is run by immature teenagers = this is not useful in anyway, as its not an action point, is too vague, and is too general to act on.

Right type of actionable feedback would be
B) If we could create a guide on improving ping on PTLC / Nayatel connections, it would be super useful

2) I hope people can look past their personal vendettas. Bashing a mods or other users if an easy way out -
Specially for mods, understand that they work hard in the background to make this place safe, secure, free from spam and on point. If you have a particular complaint again any mod, global mod , sv or admin, please pm me. If its against me, please pm @AbbY.

3) If there is a point which has been mentioned before ...upvote it, quote it and continue elaborating on it

4) If you feel that you can help with any of the points mentioned by yourself or any other member, please contact me, and we will definitely try to make it happen.

I am really looking forward to your response.

this is also open for @Khawaja @haroonshaikh @Majawar @assasin42o @XxRebellionxX @EternalBlizzard @opethian @gullfounder @Solid Link @wAnxTa @Link @MtJx @NarutimateTaha @V3N0M @asemahassan88 @masters1001 @techyrock @dayum @Global mods and PG extreme members

@Raging BulL: I saw you had maybe some suggestions

Thanks,
NaNoW

Change the mods, stand them in a line and :gun:

On a serious note, where do you or where do we as a community see ourselves in the next 3 years? I feel we've lost valuable time these past few years and didn't change with the times, it's an uphill task now but nevertheless I'd want us to be at the front of gaming and e-sports in Pakistan.

1) what changes are you hinting towards ? ( I want to know so that we can add something we might've missed)
2) I want the same thing. For gaming, I think we have enough firepower that we are having great discussions, and I want more of that but with esports and streaming content we are definitely missing people who can drive and manage that end

I think what we offer, facebook groups cant. We should identify those things, and focus on playing to our strengths. I am pretty sure PakGamers will be in a much better place, if we execute correctly.

The only glaring shortcoming I notice when I come here is the absence of 'Report it' function. Once functional, has been defunct for the longest time now.
I don't want to private message individuals everytime I see a WTS thread with no pictures or same day bumps. In general chat: Racist or inflammatory remarks in an otherwise civil conversation. And at other miscellaneous intervals where I click the report it function only to be met with a blank forum.

There isn't even a notice or a helpful message that informs the user of his or her predicament, on the report it page.
In the past, I didn't volunteer this critique because my belief is if I don't contribute enough, I don't disparage anybody's work or efforts. I didn't give enough to demand anything back. But chancing upon this topic today, I couldn't hold back.

Other than this, I don't have any peeve with how everything is run here.

I think Gaming section is running fine. We lost a lot of active members in the Anime Community (frazgta, arkonov, shinigami etc) so no hot discussions there. If we want to push more towards gaming side I'd say next stop would be to cover esports and streaming content as you said. But the main and definitive thing are the users. We need more young fresh people to take part here but they don't cuz forums are old maybe, I guess, dunno. And I don't think we can do any more about that except being active on social media, so the young blood knows the forum is still active.

Sure, Lead the way and i am with you.
but we need more material... for example if you remember "Khel khel me" by NaNoW (as far as i can remember it was him, do correct me if iam wrong), what he wrote and how he wrote was awesome and entertaining.. i still find it funny if i read it now... Now if we had something like this in a video format with editing being done like how duckybhai etc do their shit... i think we could attract a lot of people... but hey this is just an idea xD tbh i dont really know much about this stuff either but i really want PG to start a channel on youtube and i am very positive that if given only a handful of good support the channel will do well on a state level at least...

What i see is PG don't have any dedicated Team to work on it. Anyone who gets the idea or even motivation to do so Just starts its own channel and invest his time in it. I know few PG members who run there own discord, twitch streams and similar stuff. Trying to promote there own stuff and forget about PG. PG needs to own few server of there own for famous games and Run regular matches and maintain some kind of Score board here. A team who should record those videos edit them and upload to YouTube. But such dedication cannot be expected as Community service people need to get paid for that. and PG brand owner must find sponsors to promote.

Any chance we could include youtube in on this as well? Cause i also have a feeling that this will have an impact on the over all activity..

PakGamers YouTube could have gotten very famous very fast. But Sadly no one worked on it...

for youtube - we now have a team working on it, - thus the podcast. also on facebook and twitter. having said that, we need all the help we can get. if you have streamers and video people in mind, please letme know and we will make sure they have a space to work from.

we need to also activate more moderated, engaging and interesting threads, blog/ official / guides / etc

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
