Hello,

I did not find any active threads on upcoming Pakistan General Elections 2018, which are going to be held on July 25

Which party are you going to Vote and Why?

Also in the upcoming elections, anyone with any criminal background, dual citizenship(s), tax evasions, undisclosed cash can compete for any Seat.

- Pakistan - DAWN.COM

BTW: I will vote for Imran Khan - PTI

Why? Because all others have been tried and tested for 3 decades, Pakistan economy is effed up. We desperately need visionaries like Imran Khan. He has done a tremendous job in KPK (billion tree tsunami, healthcare etc.).

Please keep the discussion civil and show that we are members of respectable family.

While PakGamers doesnt allow for political / religious thread, we will keep it open as long as the discussion remains civil, people share facts...As long as this thread is about providing information relating to the election and discussing that, instead of abusing/criticizing political parties, it will be allowed to continue
@murtaza12 @GloriousChicken @nafu : please do keep a keen eye on this

Kindly vote for someone who hasn't been tested before. And for the people who are saying it's going to be too hot and humid, I feel sorry for your education because it all seems wasted.

People who say their vote won't make a difference, "sab milay howay hain"

Guys, it takes a little drop by drop to form a river. It won't take more than an hour to cast your vote.

Apna farz toe at least poora karo. Baad mein jo hoga dekha jayega.

One cannot stay neutral in General elections. You guys have to choose a side, not voting is worst than voting a bad side

What if someone thinks that all of the parties participating, none of them are worthy of the vote? (sm1)

Forgive me for my ignorance, I'd not been following the political drama in our beloved country for a while.
That being said, I think its important that we vote otherwise nothing would change. I understand the corruption and shit going on but chilling at your house isn't really the best solution for this. I mean we still suck sometimes but there have been small improvements in our society and our voice certainly can make the difference. So I would say vote because even with all that corruption you never know. I mean Nawaz was punished and banned from politics due to the Panama leaks which was monumental as no other country punished any of the people mentioned I think.

That being said, anyone voting for Imran Khan? What do you guys think our best hope is in the elections?

Well still we know that only handful of those independent ones have the chance to win and I have noticed in the past that they join a party after winning. (sm1)

Don't vote, chill at your house.

This exactly. This is how Brexit happened, and now the young generation is suffering and will continue to suffer for the mistakes their elders made by falling in the trap of voting for Brexit.

Brexit: How Old Voters Pushed for Leave Over the Young | Time
"The U.K.'s Old Decided for the Young in the Brexit Vote" you dont want to be stuck into this.

Its fine if you hate all the politicians, its fine if all of them are corrupt - The main thing is vote, so the system improves upon itself. If you dont vote, then you dont get a choice in complaining afterwards. So do vote.
Dont vote on creed, case, color or whatever. See what their plan is, and vote.

sirf vote dalnae se maslae Hal hotae to is mulk ke maslae kab kae Hal ho chukae hotae . I give you example for multan .the candidate of pmln is involved in land grabbing of poor people land , pti leader is involved in China cutting and extortion of money , ppp candidate involved in mega corruption scandals . Now tell me who should I vote for ? When you vote somebody you give him the leverage .in other words if he /she commits a sin you become indirectly involved as you have voted for that person.

I am not saying it is going to be easy - do you research

You can vote for an independent person

You can vote for the party that you think will hold its people accountable and responsible.

And even if that doesn't work - find the least worst person, because otherwise if the WORST person between all candidates is elected then that will hurt reallly badly i.e if I have a choice between tolerating something bad but small, and some really evil thing - I think it would makes sense to choose something small but slightly bad.

Its about a system rather than the individual

Now tell me who should I vote for ? When you vote somebody you give him the leverage .in other words if he /she commits a sin you become indirectly involved as you have voted for that person.
I would request you to take a moment to think it through. The belief goes " Amal ka daromadar niyat per hai" . You arent voting for someone because he/she is corrupt - you vote because in your judgement you think that this person is clean and will help people. So you are not indirectly involved in anything, because you didnt know about hidden agendas of people. Do you think that you will be accountable for other people's intentions and actions ? No I dont think so.
