To be completely fair, Fortnite is developed by a AAA developer and the people who made the frekkin engine. PUBG basically started out as a mod level project and they are only now building the workforce to support the game. A rough road is expected.

MS’s level of involvement is clearly barebones. Yes, its terrible on consoles. Doesn’t bode well for the eventual PS4 release. Whats even worse is needing a subscription to be able to play it :p

If they make bigger cuts, they might end up retaining more performance like a few other recent games :p I won't mind that at all. (gotcha before the edit :p)

Until then, Fortnite is more than enough for me, the barrier of entry is literally free, that and the game is in a different league as far as performance and optimization goes.

Until what? Who are you kidding, as long as its a paid game behind a MP pay wall, no level of performance and optimization is gonna make you play it :p

You jest but that is a very valid point. Especially if it ships in this broken of an early access state. You should understand bad releases like this (PubG console) only put people like me off longer from subbing to these things.

If an early access is as good and well optimized as Fortnite and after a few months they decide to add it to the retail game as a paid mode, I might subscribe if I'm still playing it.

the issues are with xbox one and xbx seems to be doing ok while frame drops and all solid 30fps on it during gameplay its only during the jump from the plane that it drops fps for both.. even solid 30fps on the og xbox one while playing the game on ground. the reports for this are highly exaggerated though bad at times playable yes. also textures yes may need refining.

its a new game still in early access and for console its again in the beginning of the early access stage... they will make it better as they did for the PC

Yaar thaty texture load in bug happens on PC too still, the game is still messy as fuck, the PC 1.0 version on the test server is still janky as fuck. I doubt it'll be fixed in the next week till it's supposed to come out. Technically not good, but the game nails the concept it's going for. I've already put 200+ hours into it and it's a blast when playing with a full squad. Prolly my GOTY 2017 :p

I also saw the quick look for the XB1 version a while ago, I feel sorry for anyone having to play it in THAT state, I mean I've had it bad with bugs in this game but those constant frame rate dips......

Lol. I knew the early impression of PUBG on console will be hilarious. The game is still not 10/10 on PC (its mother port) and they rushed to console version. With PC I understand the variety of system specs makes it difficult to optimize. What's up with console version.

    Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.

    Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.
