murtaza12, are you getting signals today?

I'm honestly getting sick of Mobilink playing hide-n-seek. Sometimes there are strong signals, sometimes they'll vanish. And I'm talking about 3G signals (because screw 4G, it's not getting upgraded and I've given up, but 3G is missing now and then!)
Getting 4G from PCI 390 and 3G from PSC 272.

No unusual activity today surprisingly.

Although yesterday I think they turned off the Phase 1 water tower cell site entirely since my phone suddenly dropped to 1 bar of 4G from PCI 395 which is in Phase 3. 3G wasn't visible at all and only 1 bar of 4G and 900 MHz 2G were working.

Well they are deploying network now in a way that they are already not using (Warid spectrum precisely) 8.8 MHz spectrum in 1800 MHz and 4.8 MHz of 900 MHz from their cumulative spectrum.

If you see new chart of 1800 MHz PTA allocated Mobilink (since you are not still used to call them Jazz) around 18.8 MHz at end of the band width while their old 6 MHz is still at old place between Zong and Telenor.

Now they are deploying new network something like this

2G: 7.6 MHz of 900 (Jazz's) and 1 MHz of 1800 MHz (from new). Same like Zong.

3G: 10 MHz of 2100 MHz

4G: 15 MHz (Jazz's new)

Now although Jazz has 2 separate chunks of 1800 MHz (18.8+6) and 900 MHz (7.6+4.8). But Jazz is only using 16 MHz in 1800 MHz from 18.8 MHz and 7.6 MHz in 900 MHz.

And Jazz will officially dispose off its own old 6 MHz and 2.8 MHz from 18.8 MHz in order to retain contiguous 16 MHz in 1800 MHz and will also diapose 4.8 MHz from 900 MHz. So nothing will happen to Jazz network at the time of disposing off Warid. Because there is already no Warid 2G at many places and 4G will also disappear after upgradation.

So - are you saying that Mobilink won't use it's 6Mhz anymore, and "swap" it with Warid's 6.1Mhz (on the far right side of the chart)?

Edit: can you also perform a traceroute to www.nayatel .com from Mobilink 4G and paste the results here?

murtaza12, Mobilink > Nayatel has local routing, but Nayatel > Mobilink didn't.

That said, do both of you see how the pings jump from ~30ms to ~200ms (more in the case of zafarabbasrizvi) within Mobilink's own network?

Also, how come zafarabbasrizvi has way higher pings than us, even though he's using a device?

Depends on a ton of factors, signal quality, signal strength, network load / congestion, networking equipment and much more which I don't know, because Mobilink has sort of always had shitty pings.

I'm sure our resident networking expert sTraNg3r could explain the cause for high pings within the network.

My zong wingle which I bought in May 2015is now performing abnormally. I don't know this is after the software upgrade that became compulsory by zong around 6months back or is it a hardware problem? Speed when same sim is inside wingle is around max 300kb/sec and once inserted in Mobile it increase to 1.5-2mb/sec!!! Did anyone else experience this issue ? I m thinking to buy used zong 4g mbb device is it wise decision or not may be I can get in 1000-1500 from OLX!

Those slightly higher-than-average pings mean the signal strength isn't good... or perhaps the device/network was already being used whilst testing.

Already done and something very very strange is happening sometimes once u start downloading like from computer wifi other devices are unable to connect to it or may be sometimes it's network becomes invisible on other devices
And browsing becomes almost impossible when u start downloading something

By the way is it legal that u buy a device from telenor and then unlock it? Isn't it dhoka?
If you pay for the device, you actually own it. And once you own something, you can do whatever you want with it.

Dhoka is what the company is doing by LOCKING IT! :)

Check the device with another zong sim.

I thought if Telenor was a person you would have choked him to death..

Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
I would and I probably still will, but Zong is just on a whole new level of crap.

And the fact that Telenor might be using Band 3 LTE makes it seem a bit more exciting. Also, they don't steal your credit like Zong does.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.
