LG Nexus 5X Bootloop Issue

I got a brand new LG Nexus 5X, 16GB Quartz, from Malaysia last year and I have been using it for one year. The phone worked absolutely flawlessly but recently, after receiving OTAs for Nougat and all security patches, yesterday, during usage, the phone froze over and went into reboot. It got stuck in the Android Animation again and again rebooted. I've tried performing a reset but the result is the same. I am able to go into recovery and all but the bootloader is locked so can't unlock it as the phone doesn't stay on for the required time.
So anyone with any help, information, or anything would be very much appreciated.

Thank you

It's a known issue with the LG G4, V10 and Nexus 5X. Most of them had manufacturing defects causing them to bootloop. Only way to fix it is board replacement, which doesn't happen here.

There are temporary solutions and whatnot on the internet but there's no guarantee of them working and some of them require an unlocked bootloader.

Sorry man, it's dead.

Thank you for such a quick response. One more question, what are the odds of an issue like this happening again if I do manage to get a board replacement?

Depends on the manufacturing date. Ones after Feb 2016 are safe I believe but I can't guarantee or be sure.

170 + countries where Steam sells but PSN doesn't will lose access unless they use VPN

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
