Hi.

I thought I'd make a post so others don't have to go through the same crap I did. Here's the story:

1) I scheduled my TOEFL exam on the 4th of November with "redacted". Test got canceled because they couldn't get the system up and running. Still had to wait around 4 hours.

2) Had to wait 5 days for the rescheduling coupon. Rescheduled to 2nd December with the same people (because I figured if it was an unsolvable problem, ETS should have UNLISTED the damn provider) since it was the earliest one available.

3) After giving the test, no result for 19 days. After calling the support number 3 times, on 3 different days, I'm told the test center is under review and I'll have to wait 6-8 weeks...

So, missed my deadline, my program application fee has gone to waste since TOEFL was a requirement, and I have to wait 8 weeks before I find out whether my scores will be canceled or not.

Anyone who's planning on giving TOEFL in Peshawar, do yourself a favor, just don't. Go with a testing center with plenty of experience conducting tests.

If I sound incensed, that's because I am.

Well sorry to hear that. But why were you considering TOEFL near your program date? It is always wise to take such test at least 4-5 months before admissions are being opened.
The application deadline was 15th November 2016, and we became eligible to apply to it in October 2016. So I didn't really have much time to plan. If ETS had their crap together though, 2 weeks, heck 1 month would've been enough to get my result, but their incompetence got it delayed twice.

Very true.

Oh So basically ETS screwed everything. Well thats odd. You should complain on their International forum.
Sent them numerous emails, and all I got in response was that they're looking into the issue and can't offer me any rescheduling until they're done... Despise their monopoly

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
