Bought this 13" Macbook Pro Retina recently. It has come with 1 year official warranty.
Its got core i5, 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD.
I used Mac OS X (Mavericks & Yosemite) on my HP Probook 4530s along with Windows as a hackintosh for some time and loved every bit of it over Windows.
This compelled me to buy a proper macbook and I can safely say that I'm never going back to Windows ever again for personal use. The Probook is now dedicated to office use only. :geek2:

Here are some pix.

once you go mac, you'll never go back!

But isn't the 128 GB SSD way too less in terms of storage?

You're right about macs. They are too good.
As for storage then I purposely went for lowest storage considering the amount of space I have in external and cloud storage. In my case, extra space wouldn't have been of much use.

but i think apple has always been falsely represented as overpricing their products
i own the new macbook, ipad 4, ipad air 2 and ipad pro and i have never felt so satisfied about any other company;s hardware purchases because of the build quality and longevity of their products

[MENTION=58187]samydroid[/MENTION] congratulations for your purchase......been waiting to buy one myself ever since last year lol thought early this year the skylake refresh would launch then nothing happened now there are rumors of oled touch display instead of function keys maybe yes maybe no lolz

As for macs I have never owned one but I have an iPhone 6s plus ipad 3 and ipad pro 9.7 and I agree with the hardware quality and software optimization part as my ipad 3 still runs though with problems but still its useable....why people dont buy macs etc well for me my purpose of pc is 95% gaming so its the monstrous pc for me all the way and i have about 4 tablets including ms surface and two pcs around so never really felt the need for the mac but yeah I still want to try one maybe this year's refresh or maybe Alienware with gtx 1080/1070 who knows [emoji16]

Goodluck! Looking forward to your unboxing of new series pro [emoji41] [emoji106]. I hope you aren't concerned about glowing apple logo going away like my friend who has decided to buy current series pro after learning that apple might replace the glowing apple logo with the one on 12"macbook. Wow! how did it go? [emoji2]
If I didn't have to get a new laptop, I might have removed the windows from hp and kept only mac on it. On my hp the 'only' issue I faced was slightly reduced battery life. Rest all features were working flawlessly.

Congrats! [emoji106] XPS is a great series. Its only drawback is that it has windows lol.
You are right about designs. Pro is getting face-lift this year and hopefully 12" macbook will be the new macbook air.

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

  • L LegacyGamerGuy:
As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
